Deep at night, everything seems to go smoothly, but you should never think that. Because when you do, bad things happen. Like this weird red fog falling down on our ship.

Could it be Marines? Namy seems to think so. But this smoke tastes weird. It makes me feel tired, and not only me, everyone on the ship. I can't even think of a countermove, that everything goes black.

I wake up in a box, surrounded by all the others, Aileen already up with a paw on my belly.

Are you ok?

"My head hurts, but yes, are you?" she just nods. Luffy's trying to wake everyone else up, and they all seem to be fine. It's a wooden box, like the ones they load on big ships. It doesn't really look like a Marine thing.

"They took my swords" Zoro mutters under his teeth.

"Are you sure you don't want to blame me this time too?" I know, it's an annoying habit I have, but I can't help myself. I speak before I even allow it. And as usual, he glares at me.

The map, at least, is in a safe place, according to Luffy. And if I guessed the spot right... ew.

Zoro punches the wood to break free. But Nami disagrees with the plan, and frankly so do I. Everything is silent outside, it could be a trap.

"What are you doing? We need a plan"

"Beat the hell out of every Marine I can find, that's the plan" and again, not a good plan. He's overconfident at times.

"Without the swords? You're not that good" I know it might sound like an insult, but truly it was a mere acknowledgement of the situation. I saw what he can do and it's impressive, but we're severely outnumbered.

"Ok stop talking to me. I am fed up with you" yeah, he definitely took it as an insult.

"Or maybe you could blow everyone away" Luffy suggests. It does not really work like that.

"I am not a tornado, Luffy. But we'll call it Plan B"

"Anyway, good news, they're not Marines. I saw a Jolly Roger flag, they're pirates"

"Great. So from jail we go straight to execution" Nami sighs. And I share her exasperation. It's not better.

"You might want to work on your definition of good news Luffy" I reply, patting his shoulder.

"Luffy's right, pirates are easier to kill, they don't have training"

"Neither do we, Zoro" I mean, we know our stuff, but again, we're outnumbered and unarmed in a place which will probably be full of pirates.

"Speak for yourself" always so defensive. No one should dare question his abilities.

"Ok, tough guy, so I'll just sit and wait for you to clear our path out of here"

Someone uncovers the box and the strangest thing happens, a circus show is staged in front of us, complete with acrobats and people on unicycles. And the rest of the box is also dismantled, as if it were part of the show.

"Aileen, stick close"

I am not a circus animal if that's what you're afraid of

"I am afraid of the general madness at this point actually" there's even an audience. Where the hell did we end up?

A madman dressed as a clown enters and starts yelling at his crew for making scene mistakes. None of us dares to say a word in front of this unique spectacle. It's not easy to leave us speechless.

"You're the clow guy, right?" of course it's Luffy who breaks the silence.

"Bagy" he corrects Luffy. The name sounds like a big deal to him.

"I guess everyone knows who you are" and I confirm that when he starts getting really angry at Luffy's latest statement.

"Are you making fun of my nose?!"

Then he keeps insulting us, until Luffy plays the whole 'I am Monkey D Luffy' scene. I start looking around to analyse if we're totally screwed or there's a way out. Let's face it, when you get captured by an overconfident crazy clown, it's hard it'll go well. Especially when I understand that the audience is made of people tied up and freaked out. I could disappear, I am not tied, but what would that solve? I'd be alone, against a lot of them, and although I saw fire, I can't take them all down myself. In this fray any misstep could be dangerous, and Aileen's here with me. Also, I don't want Nami or Luffy dead.

Now it's Bagy's turn to give the big speech, and Zoro's growing restless, I can tell he's about to make a move. So I place a hand on his arm.

"Don't. Whatever you're thinking, don't. You'll screw up" he stiffens a little.

"I won't stay here listening to this fool a minute longer" I sigh, trying to find the right words to get him in the situation, given that it seems to live on another planet.

"Zoro let me remind you, you have no swords" do you think he listens? No way.

"Alright listen up, I am Roronoa Zoro, drop your weapons now, and I might let you live" and Bugy starts laughing.

"I have to say this, I can't blame him for laughing this time" I mutter to him, and he snaps.

"Shut up" Bagy sees the whole scene and laughs some more in our face.

"Woah, frizzy couple we have here. And one of you is a celebrity no less. And a giant pet! This is so exciting. ... Too bad I hate sharing the spotlights"

Oh, here come the knives. The only reason why I am ignoring his insinuations. And then, out of the blue, Nami does something that makes me reconsider protecting her.

She delivers Luffy and runs out of the place. And she is immediately brought in again. The only thing she accomplished is the spoiler of Luffy's power.

"So, my map. Who has it? it was in a safe place, right?" Luffy raises an eyebrow, confused. And frankly so am I. how does he know?

"Don't look surprised, I have ears and eyes everywhere. By the way, my friend, you should really listen to your lady more" he addresses to Zoro again. And this time I can't contain myself.

"How insane are you to think- " Aileen growls to make me understand it's time to shut up.

"Fine. Not important" the clown anyway ignored my attempted attack and he's completely focused on Luffy and the map.

"I'm going to get it back. Please make our guests uncomfortable in the green room" a group of pirates come to drag us away.

"Oh, and... Be kind to the pet, she needs more space than you, you'll take the smaller cage" he says looking at me and Zoro.

Ok, I won't lie, this does not sound good at all.
