The next morning, Akshaya came to Detective

Kashyap's place, knowing the progress in the case.

But, he saw a lock on the main door. He asked

Detective Kashyap's neighbor.

"Detective Kashyap? Who is Detective Kashyap? I

don't know about him. If a Detective lived here, I

would have known!"

Akshaya came back to his house in shock. As he

came back and entered his room, he shouted. The

caretaker, Tinku, came running and saw Detective

Kashyap crawling on the floor.

"Oh! You just gave me a heart attack! What are you

doing here?"

"It seems that you take drugs."
"What? Drugs? I never even touched anything like

that in my whole life!"

"That means, this empty packet of drugs is of

someone else!"

"And who do you think this is?"

Detective Kashyap smiled and headed out of the

room. He went into the kitchen where he saw

Suresh working.

"Good morning sir."

"Morning. So, Suresh, when do you leave from here?

"

"At nine o'clock every night. Why?"

"Where do you go then?"

"Sir, why are you asking this? This doesn't even

make sense! I go home. I have a wife and two

children, where else will I go?"

Detective Kashyap's left corner of his mouth turned

up.

"And where doesn't Tinku the caretaker go?"

"I don't know sir. But he leaves at the same time and

his house is on the same way as mine, but then also

God knows why he goes in a different auto."

"Same direction? Does he turn somewhere else?"
"I don't know, sir. His auto is always slower than

mine so I can never track him."

Detective Kashyap nodded and gazed into Suresh's

eyes.

"So, his wife doesn't live with him?"

"She works in the city. She met me once and she

hates it there but then also he wants her to work

there. There is some work in a grocery store."

"City!" Detective Kashyap murmured like a dark spell.

"City! City! City!"

Detective Kashyap swallowed.

"What happened, sir? Err - - may I ask, why are you

asking all this?"

"Nothing of your concern."

Akshaya came into the kitchen.

"What happened?" Akshaya asked.

"Nothing I have to leave now."

"Where are you going?"

Detective Kashyap didn't say anything for a while

and just kept staring into Tinku's eyes.

"Sorry, but I have to leave for two or three days."

"But my mother...? My brother will come in just four

days! How will you find her before that? No one called for ransom! I don't even know if she is alive or

..."

Akshaya swallowed.

"Don't worry. Your mother is alive and safe."

"How do you know?"

"I know it because she was kidnapped and the

a person who kidnapped her loves her."

Detective Kashyap stared into Tinku's eyes. Their

eyes were locked. Tinku lowered his gaze to the

clenched hand of Detective Kashyap.

Detective Kashyap left Akshaya in puzzlement.

The sun was already set. It was ten o'clock. Detective

Kashyap was walking on the street. He had his

phone and was looking at the picture he took.

He had frowning eyebrows.
