Loki's Weakness

Baby?

Loki and Y/n enjoyed dinner in silence with their family before finishing and walking up to their room hand in hand. They were at their chamber door when they heard Thor calling for them to wait up.

"Thor? What's wrong?" Y/n asked him.

"I'm sorry Y/n, but do you mind if I borrow Loki for a moment?"

"Not at all." Loki kissed her cheek before she walked into their room, closing the door quietly behind her.

"What is it Thor?" Loki asked him, wanting to spend more time with Y/n. Seemed all he wanted to do now was be alone with Y/n. They could be sitting in silence and he'd be happy. Just being in her presence was enough for him.

"I talked to the Avengers and they all gave their word not to speak of your horrific past if you and Y/n decide to come down and visit with them."

"Is that so?" Loki was surprised. He didn't think they'd actually promise.

"Yes, and I give you my word brother, they will not say a thing about your past infront of Y/n."

"Alright." Loki nodded.

"You'll come?"

"I will talk with Y/n about it first, if she says she doesn't want to then we won't. I won't have her doing anything she doesn't want to do. I want to keep her happy."

"Understandable brother."

Loki and Thor say goodbye and parted ways. When Loki walks into the chamber he sees Y/n not in the room, then notices wind blowing softly through the curtains through the double open doors.

He walks over to see Y/n staring off into the distance, lost in her thoughts. This seemed to be her favorite place to think about things. He walks over to her, wrapping his arms around her waist gently. Y/n leaned her body into his slightly, letting her head rest on his shoulder. She let a breath out, she hadn't realized she'd been holding.

"What's on your mind, my love?" Loki placed a small kiss on her cheek.

"Loki... I was wondering.. what do you think of children?"

"Children?" The question surprised him. "Why do you ask darling?"

Y/n turned around to face him. She met his deep ocean blue eyes with her deep forest green ones.

"What if we were to have children?.."

"Well of course, someday we will. Is that what this is about darling? You want to know my thoughts on us having children one day?" Loki took a stray piece of auburn hair behind her ear, caressing her cheek with his thumb tenderly.

"Well... actually Loki... it's um... it's.. I.. um.. well you see..." Loki could see Y/n's nervousness and instinctively pulled her against him, wrapping his arms securely around her.

"Whatever it is, you can tell me. I am right here Y/n. I love you and nothing will ever change that. Why are you so nervous my dear? What is it? You can tell me anything, always." He kissed her temple then her cheek.

She looked up at him again, placing her hand onto his cheek, looking up at him with only love and adoration in her eyes. She truly admired him. There was no one else in the world to her when she was around him. It was just them. Just him. And her. There wasn't anything they couldn't do as long as they were together.

"Loki, I was wondering if you wanted to start having children soon?"

"Like right now?" Loki's eyes widened. "I'm not sure we're ready just yet... do you want us to start trying for a baby?"

"Possibly.." Y/n looked down at the ground, unable to look him in the eyes any longer.

"Sweetheart, nothing in the world would make me happier than to have a family with you.." Loki tilted her chin up gently so she would look back at him. "But right now, just for right now, you are my main priority. You are my family. We have our whole lives to have children if we desire it." Loki says in a soothing voice, trying to comfort her, hoping he hadn't upset and hurt her. Disappointed her.

"I understand." She looked back down at the ground, nodding her head slightly, then walked back inside their room.

Doing her best to fight the tears trying to fill her eyes, she kept her face away from Loki's view, moving her side of the covers to lie down.
