We Are Your Family

The next morning Loki woke before Y/n. He watched her sleep peacefully, blissfully unaware of their surroundings. "How did I get this lucky?" He wondered to himself. After all the horrible things he had done in the past, how did he get to keep something so good, so beautiful, so peaceful, kind? Loki regretted everything he had done before and though he was controlled by Thamos, he blamed himself for all the pain he had caused. He couldn't imagine someone taking away Y/n as he had taken someone special away from others. Before his thoughts could get too carried away, Y/n's eyes slowly fluttered open, looking up at him with her big blue eyes. "Good morning." She smiled up at him. "Good morning love." Loki leaned his head down and met her lips with his in a gentle, loving kiss.

Loki slowly got up, put his green silk robe around himself and went into the bathroom. Minutes later Y/n could hear running water in the bathtub. Loki walked out with a towel wrapped around his waist. "Care to join me for a bath darling?" Y/n smiled and nodded her head. "This morning just keeps getting better and better." Loki took and held her hand in his as he lead her to the claw foot tub. He picked her up bridal style and carefully lay her in the warm water. Once she was in, he got it in behind her. Y/n laid her head down on his right shoulder, as he wrapped his arms around her, kissing down her cheek and neck lovingly. "I love you." Y/n whispered to him. "I wish we could stay like this forever." Loki hummed, agreeing with her. "I love you too my darling."

After a very nice, and relaxing bath, Loki and Y/n went to join the rest of the royal family for breakfast. They sat beside each other at the dining table. Thor and Sif smirking at them, as if knowing what they've been up to all night. "Good morning Y/n. Loki. How is the happy married couple?" Thor asked, smiling big and brightly at them, Sif giggling beside him. Loki and Y/n looked at each other, then back at him. "Happy." They said in unison, meaning it. Frigga smiled at them. "I am so happy for you too. You have seemed to be getting along rather well, haven't they Odin?" Frigga smiled. "Oh yes, indeed dear. They do seem happy." Odin responded. "Well we are very much happy." Loki said, starting to get a bit annoyed. When did they become the subject of conversation?

After breakfast, Y/n went to learn more magic with Frigga, today she would be learning how to teleport herself, something she was eager to learn. Loki went off to the library to do some light reading, as he didn't have much to do today. Soon, Thor came walking into the library disturbing his brother's peace and quiet. "You and Y/n seem to be doing well brother. I am happy for you. I can see it in your eyes every time you look at her, that she makes you truly happy. That's all I've ever wanted for you brother. To be happy, to find peace. As well as for her too, as you know she has been through a great deal at such a young age... " Thor paused before continuing. He seemed nervous about something. "What is it Thor? Something wrong?" Loki asked him, curiosity getting the better of him. I

t was rare Thor just came up and starting talking to him about Y/n. Much less about anything much these days. He's been so busy going back and forth to Midgard. "Nothing brother, it's just.. well..." Thor took a deep breath. "The Avengers would like you come down to earth. I have told them about Y/n and they would like to meet her. As well as see how much you have changed. See how happy you are now that Y/n is in your life. So... what do you say brother? Will the two of you join me in my next visit to midgard?" Loki looked down at his book, shocked at his request. He stood up from his seat on the couch.

"So, let me get this straight. You and the avengers, want me and my wife to come to Midgard... to visit?" Thor took a step forward. "Yes brother. But if you don't want to, I completely understand. I only ask that you think about it." Loki was about to respond when he was interrupted. "Think about what?" Y/n came walking into their conversation. Loki walked over to her, placing a light kiss on her cheek. "Nothing love, why don't you go into the garden for a bit? I'll join you in a moment." Y/n looked up at him, then back at Thor. Thor only nodded and gave her a small smile. "Alright then." Y/n turned and left to the special gardens Loki had made for her with his magic.

Loki watched her leave, then turned his head back to Thor. A frown on his face. "You can't be serious. They all think I'm a monster! I am not going to take my wife there. She doesn't know, I don't want her to know that part of me." Thor grimaced. "Brother, no one thinks you're a monster. We all know you've changed and are finally happy now with Y/n. She will never know anything of your past. Not unless you decide yourself to tell her. Brother, she will not hear anything from anyone. You have my word." Loki looked at this ground, his hands in fists. "Can you get their word as well? I want their word, they will not say anything to Y/n about my past. She can never, ever, know." Loki spoke the last few words slowly, putting more meaning into them. "Of course brother. I shall leave and get their word, I will come and find you when I return. And when I have their word, will you bring Y/n down to meet them?" Loki sighed. "I suppose so, but ONLY if she wants to. I will not do anything she doesn't want to do. She hasn't been anywhere except for here. Not even to the neighboring kingdoms in the other realms. I want to make sure she's comfortable." Thor smiled. "I understand brother. I shall return. Give Y/n a big hug for me." Loki smiled. "Will do... brother." Thor walked out of the library, but not before smiling brightly at him for calling him brother.

A few moments later and Loki had found Y/n sitting on a bench beside the pond. Her light blue dress flowing around her ankles as the wind blew. Her auburn hair flying softly behind her. Loki couldn't help himself as he just stood near a tree and watched Y/n as she read the book in her hand. After a few moments she looked up from her book and spotted Loki. She smiled at him as he came walking towards her. "Hello my love. Have you been waiting long?" Loki asked her, taking a seat beside her, placing right arm on the back of the bench going around her shoulders, his left hand sitting on top of her thigh. "Not long. I was just catching up on some reading." Y/n closed her book, and placed a light kiss to his lips. Loki brought his hand up to her face, cupping her cheek and he pulled her closer to him, adding more pressure into the kiss.

After a moment of them kissing, Loki pulled away slightly.

"I want you to know... I love you. No matter what happens, I will always love you. I will always protect you. I will protect you with my life. I'd do anything for you."

Y/n looked into his eyes with a questioning look in hers.

"I love you too Loki. What's wrong? Is something bothering you?"

Loki gave her a small smile.

"I can't get anything past you can I? Nothing is wrong darling.. just... I love you. That's all. A part of me is terrified of losing you.. you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

"I understand.. I have that fear too.. but our love is strong. We'll make it through whatever life has to throw at us. I believe this with my whole heart. I feel it in my soul Loki. You're my soulmate.. the man I'm meant to be with."

Loki kissed her passionately at that. Never wanting to let go.
