Episode 0 - The Great Era of Pirates

LogueTown.....

It was a dark time for the era of pirates, in the City of LogueTown. Above millions of people were gathered in the town's square to witness what would be the final day of the King of the Pirates. Many old and possibly younger pirates had come together to also witness the death of this legendary Pirate, Gol D. Roger as he slowly walks towards the platform while the people along with the pirates either cheered for him or booed at him while the marines form both lines to ensure that none get passed them while Roger slowly walks towards the platform.

Even on the day of his death, he shows no emotion of any kind but to only smile. When he got up onto the platform, he continues to smile greatly as he saw the millions of Pirates and civilians seeing his final time on earth......

High Ranking Marine: This marks the end of Piracy! Gold Roger, the so called King of the Pirates has finally been captured! By None other then our finest Marines!

Somewhere else.....

Two people were running in the empty streets as the made a hard right in which they entered an alley way and hid behind some crates, meanwhile a group of marines were also seen running while looking around.

Marine 1: Come on! They can't get far!

Marines: Yes sir!

They continue to run as they passed the alley that the two men were hiding. They eventually came out of hiding and sighed in relief.

Man 1: Damn, they are fast....

Man 2: I know, but we manage to get the goods. Now we need to meet up with-

???: I'm already here...

Man 1&2: Gah! First Mate Rayleigh!

Rayleigh: Calm down you two. So did you get it?

Man 1: *shows small chest* Yes sir.... It was a hassle but we manage to steal it before we were to get caught.

Rayleigh: I can see that.... It's time..

He placed a Den Den Mushi earpiece in his ear as he spoke to the other end of the call.

Rayleigh: Do it.

Somewhere else....

Pirate: Yes sir!

On a nearby building where the execution is taking place, two pirates were on a roof as they quickly got towards the edge and signalled with a broken glass towards Gol. D Roger as he smirked.

High Ranking Marine: His reign of terror ends today! Piece shall be restored! Let this be a message to break the spirits to anyone who is foolish enough to follow his footsteps!

Executioner 1: Gold Roger, you have been sentenced to death.

Executioner 2: For the crimes of Piracy, thievery and conspiracy against the world government.

Executioner 1: Any last words?

Gol D. Roger: Yeah, can you get this off? It's getting itchy beyond belief...

Executioner 1: I can't do that!

Gol D. Roger: You think I would run away? You sure know how to make a guy feel lonely.

High Ranking Marine: Enough, pirate. Kneel down like the dog you are...

Gol D. Roger: Could you at least be polite? Vice-Admiral Garp was even more polite when he captured me.

He then sat down as he continues to smile.

Gol D. Roger: All right, let's get this over with quickly...

Meanwhile....

Man 1: So sir, what do we do with this?

Rayleigh: Open it.

Man 2: What? Why-

Rayleigh: Just do it!

They were hesitant but they eventually opened the small chest which was revealed to be...

Man 1: No way... it's a devil fruit....

Man 2: Yeah... there's even-

Rayleigh: Enough, you would ruined the whole story...

Man 1: What?

Rayleigh: Look, me and the captain had found this before he was caught. Before he could get taken away... he told me this..... this fruit will be consumed by the chosen one....

Man 2: Chosen one?

Rayleigh: I didn't understand at first but now I realised it. So in order for that someone to eat this fruit... I'm entrusting you for safe keeping.

Man 2: Me?

Rayleigh: Yes, the captain also told me that you have someone you were close with.... So you must ensure the safety of both the devil fruit and that someone. Do I make myself clear?

Man 2: I...... I......

Back at the platform....

The executioners had now positioned themselves in front of Gol D. Roger as they raised their spears and as prepared to take his life but then something unexpected happened...

Man: Hey! Pirate King!

Gol D. Roger: Hmm?

Man: Where did you hide all the treasure you found!? Is it in the Grand Line?! You got it didn't you!? That legendary treasure!

High Ranking Marine: Enough!

Man: That great treasure!

The One Piece!!!!!.........

Out of nowhere, Roger suddenly burst out laughing while everyone stares at him, curious on where he had hid the Legendary One Piece...

Gol D. Roger: *smile* My treasure? If you want to know? I will tell you!

Executioner 1: Don't speak without permission!

Gol D. Roger : *smile* If you want it! You can have it! Fame.... Wealth... Power... something beyond your wildest dreams, something your hearts Desire.... I had left everything I have in this world and I left it in One Piece! I left everything this world has to offer there!

Before he could continue, the high rank nodded as both of them executioners quickly raised their spears and pierced them into the Pirate King's chest. They slowly continue to pierced the blade's further but to only for him giving his last breath while still smiling...

Gol D. Roger:  *smile* F-Free yourselves! Take to the seas..... set your sails..... find it! if you want my treasure....

And after that, his life was finally taken away..... everyone was dead silent but then they started to cheer loudly for the King of the Pirates. After that, many pirates had fled the town square which overwhelmed every marine there, including the high rank marine as he walked down from the platform furious as a marine ran up to him.

Marine: Sir! One of the vaults in HQ has been compromised!

High Ranking Marine: We can deal with that later.... Now! Contact The Vice Admiral and every fleet in the four seas.... I want all the marines to be prepared for something big....

Marine: Yes sir!

He left as he oversee all the pirate's fleeing towards their ships as they sat sail to the Grand Line. And ever since that day, pirates from all over the world had set their sails to the Grand Line in search of the treasure that will make the dreams of every pirates come true..... this is the mark of the Great Pirate Era.....
