The Tale of Roronoa Kenji

Chapter 3: PIRATES!

~ 10 years later ~

Time flew by and chaos around the world arrived. Since disappearance of Luffy, a new era of Pirates had commenced. New bands of Pirates showed up, each one more ruthless than the first, also a new batch of devil fruits. This has pushed the Marines to their extent, almost brining it to a complete collapse.

A lot has happened for Kenji, since he created the 'No fighting pack' with Ayako he's been getting beaten up almost everyday. When it first started he would come home all bruised up and now they don't even leave a scratch. He is now average-height and well built. Ayako in now a little shorter than Kenji with a height of 5'4" and has well developed feminine body. They've gotten close over the years to the point where they've developed feelings for each other but haven't proclaimed their love yet.

The day started with the two of them walking together to school. 

Kenji: *Yawn*

Ayako: Did you stay up late again last night?

Kenji: I was doing stuff

Ayako: *Sarcastic* You mean not doing the writing assignment that's due today?

Kenji: Who needs to know the full history of Vice Admiral Garp. All he did was join the marines, punched some pirates, and became vice admiral. I mean literally anyone can do that

Ayako: Your an idiot 

Kenji: Your a bigger idiot for always hanging out with me

They talked all the way to school till they had to go to there separate classroom. Kenji would normally dozes off during class and doesn't pay attention unless it has to do with physical training or culinary arts. Ayako was the exact opposite of him, she currently has the highest academic record in her class and spends her free time reading different variates of books, hoping to one day become a professor. 

~ couple hours later ~

School got out and Kenji was waiting at there usual spot for Ayako to get out her student council meeting. He was laying up against a wall, looking up into the sky and reminiscing about the past.

~  7 years ago ~

It took a week but they finally arrived at the Conomi Islands. Since Nami's return and start of her tangerine plantation, Cocoyashi village has doubled in sized with new features to it. First, all the buildings have upgraded to more modern looking buildings along with a new city hall in which Nami's sister, Nojiko, became the new mayor. The second was Arlong park being destroyed and replaced with a big flower garden park called Bellemere Park in honor of Bellemere. 

While the ship was coming into port, Kenji was on the port side of the ship, watching the waves and seagulls go by.

"Kenji"

Kenji turns around and sees his mom calling out for him.

Cupcake: Get ready we'll be arriving in a minute

Kenji gets up and runs to his room on the ship and grabs the present he brought.

It was Isabella's 25th birthday, everyone in the village and all straw hat members (excluding Luffy) were present. There was excitement happening around Kenji. Everywhere he looked there was something different going on, whether it being dancing, singing, or eating, but one thing they all had in common was everyone had a big smile on there face. It brought some joy to Kenji , knowing his history about the village when the fishman pirate Arlong took over before Luffy put a stop to him.

"Muzen! Cupcake! Over here!"

Muzen and Cupcake turned their attention to the other side of the dancing area, seeing Nami wave them over.
