Dr Buck, Agent Green, Lawrence, Dr Collingwood, Carson, and Riley were heading to the observation room of 04106's containment chamber.
Dr Buck: ( angrily: ) I swear if this is Dr Shaw's doing...
Riley: I've checked the security cameras in 04106's cell, Dr Shaw hasn't been in their containment all day.
Carson: ( calmly, to Agent Green and Lawrence: ) How much you bet the kid is just growing up or something? I bet twenty bucks.
Agent Green: Now's not the time, Carson!
When they got into the observation room, the cocoon had hardened and had turned into some kind of large black stone with a hollow opening in the back, and 04106 was nowhere to be seen.
Dr Collingwood: Okay, the cocoon has turned into some kind of stone, but where's...
Suddenly a bigger and slightly older version of 04106 crawled out of the stone cocoon's opening and climbed onto the top of it, to look at the group of adults looking at them from the observation room one-way window. Their clothes were now slightly torn and the white star-shaped pupils were now gone, but they now looked to be the age of a teenager, everyone was in shock by this sudden transformation.

Carson: Called it.
Dr Buck: At least 04106 appears to be fine...
Agent Green: Maybe this is their species' form of puberty?
04106: ( to the group of adults, their voice sounding slightly different: ) Are you guys okay? Do humans not go into cocoons when they go into the teen stage?
Agent Green: Not exactly, kid.
Dr Collingwood: Wait, this is normal to your species?
04106: ( happily and calmly: ) Yes. My Ma said that when a cub is at a certain age, they would become very sleepy and will go into a cocoon, and the cocoon will harden and an opening will form for the cub once they are transformed into their teen stage. She also said that it happens suddenly. So, sorry if I scared all of you.
Dr Buck: ( Takes a deep breath ) Riley...
Riley: I know, I'll get some samples of the cocoon for further testing.
Riley walked out of the observation room, and Dr Buck looks at 04106 with a calm expression.
Dr Buck: It's alright, 04106. You weren't in control of it.-
