Earlier that day
"I missed this, you know?" Jordan said, opening the fridge and taking a bowl of fruit out.
"What did you miss?" Jade sipped on her tea.
"This peace" the man looked at the big window that led to their freshly renovated garden. "I love L.A but this feels so good, and we get to spend way more time together as a family" he turned around to take the cutting board.
"I agree" She stood up, taking some cutlery and positioning it on the nearby table. "My days won't be so hectic like that, but there's something I think I'll be working on"
"Can I get a small tease?" He started putting the fruit inside the blender. "I don't know what's going on, but you seem so secretive" he chuckled.
She couldn't help the smile that formed on her lips. "It's nothing too serious love" she placed Jaz's favorite mug on the table "but there are some people who should be informed first. It's not even official at the moment, I need to wait for their opinion"
"And let me guess" the former Rizzle Kicks acted thoughtfully for a brief moment. "One of these people has a husband who recently retired from soccer" he poured the smoothie into three glasses.
"Might be..."
"And the other one" he walked toward her direction. "Let me think... the other one..." he placed the glasses on the table. "The other one has a little kid our daughter won't stop talking about" he smiled looking at her.
"Could be", she giggled and then kissed him.
"Well, I expect to be informed right after you have said whatever you have to say to these two mysterious people" he hugged her laughing.
"Mommy", a familiar sleepy voice caught their attention. Jade smiled and picked her daughter up."Good morning bug. How did you sleep?" She kissed her on the cheek.
"Good" the three years old mumbled resting her head on her mother's shoulder.
Jade and Jordan finished preparing breakfast and setting up the table. As Jordan delved into his porridge and Jaz started devouring her cereals, Jade couldn't help but stop to admire that finally achieved tranquility.
"Daddy this is so good", Jaz said after a while making them chuckle.
"Thank you peanut" Jordan stroked her hair.
"You are welcome", she refocused her attention on her bowl.

"I'm telling you" Leigh stopped to catch her breath. "I quite like an evening session"Andre simply nodded, too focused on counting the reps of his exercise. When he was done he put the downbells on the floor and joined his wife on the bench.
To many people that was a strange and unusual date night but they were loving it. They started this new tradition a few weeks after Andre's retirement and it quickly seemed like an amazing way to spend time together.
First rule, they were going to work out at the gym and never at home. It was a date night after all.
Second rule, they would perform exercises suitable for both, so they would at least be in the same area of the gym and could chat during the breaks.
Third rule, dinner afterwards. They usually ended up at some fast food drive-thru, ordering not healthy meals and chatting in the car for hours. It was such an unusual date night compared to what they were used to, and maybe that's why they loved it so much.
