Gabriel's POV:
"Good morning, my darling Lean." I boomed."Morning slugabed" said Leandro.
Leandro is my second cousin and my best friend, even though we just started living together here in Cambridge for the last two days. We have been in touch since we were 12 or 13.
He originally is from Italy; I don't know why that guy is here because, of course, people die to study the place he is from. Anyway, choices are made, and we are here together. That counts as a lot of fun happening.
"Oh, boomer" I replied.
"If you don't know, we are pretty much getting late right now for the lecture." He complained.
"Give me 10 minutes, and I am all yours." I teased him with my tone.
Leandro is the kind of guy who would reply straight to your face. He's scary, yes.
In the lecture hall-
We were pretty early compared to other people.
"See, I told you, we won't be any late" I whispered."It doesn't matter; I don't want to outlook myself as I walk from that door to find any seat left with people staring at me" he claimed.
"Haha, so you think people won't see you while you're sitting and minding your business?" I laughed because a girl entering the room has been staring at lean nonstop, even while walking.
"I don't care; I love minding my business. You know, just don't look at them, and even if you look, just ignore them; they won't check you out again!" He offered.
Plus, Lean did this to that poor girl who gave him a decent smile. Man of his words, huh?
Evening time-
"Hey Gabriel, do you wanna grab some food at this local restaurant I heard about?" Lean asked me while setting up his bookshelf in our room.
We have four beds, but two of them were unoccupied, so we have them until someone new joins in. There was pretty empty space in the room, so Leandro decided to buy a shelf where he could keep all his books.
"Yeah! Why not?" I replied.
"It smells like home here" he said the moment we entered a restaurant called The Bakers.
"Oh, you already miss your house?" I questioned while we comforted ourselves on the chairs of the restaurant.
Truly, it had an ambiance like a home. The decor, furniture, and especially all the paintings made us feel cozy.
"Hey, that's the girl you ignored in the classroom" I said in a sudden, loud manner. "I think you should apologize to her for not smiling".
"Hey, wtf? Who does that? I am not doing it" he sassed.
"Okay, boomer, but do you see the girl with her? She's so pretty!" I said this while resting a closed hand on my cheek.
She really seemed adorable as she sat on the chair while keeping her handbag aside. Her hair was wavy; she seemed like a goddess. Her energetic laugh caught me smiling inside. Something about her was so good at first glance that I couldn't help but look at her.
"I don't know about you, but I am going to have a talk with her, Lean!" I said this while standing up from the chair and walking towards the girls.
"Bro" I heard from the back side.
"Hey, hi, I am Gabriel" I introduced myself. "I saw you two in the lecture hall today" I exclaimed while taking my hand out of my pocket and shaking it with the beautiful girl I just saw clearly.
"Hi Gabriel, Nicole" she said, pointing out to herself "and she's Celeste". With a handshake.
Her touch was dreamy, and she seemed frank.
I shook hands with Celeste; she seemed like a quiet girl. Which apparently my brother ignored. I truly feel bad for her.
"Oh, it's fun that we all share the same course" I addressed.
"Yes, pretty fun; it's good to know we have a new friend from the course" she laughed.
"Indeed, you do" added, with a big smile on my face. It was a real one! The smile.
She then further told me that they are childhood best friends and share the dorm too.
I introduced Leandro from a distance and told them how shy he is about talking to girls. Coward guy, huh? How is he going to enjoy his uni days if he keeps ignoring people?
"Do you girls mind joining us for the dinner?" I asked them.
They both looked at each other with amusement but eventually said yes to it.
"Hey Lean, this is Nicole, and that is Celeste." I introduced them by pointing out
"Hi Nicole, hi Celeste." Lean replied with less enthusiasm. Nearly no energy.
"Oh, don't mind him guys; he's just too tired today." I covered up Leandro while giving him a weird look.
