A little while later, you decide to go find Oscar before he starts his race.
You see him as his getting ready and give him a little tap on the shoulder, he turns round
"Ahh my favourite manager, come to wish me luck have we?" He gives you a little nudge.
You laugh back at him "of course I have, good luck Oscar I know you will absolutely smash it" you say giving him a hug.
As you begin to walk off, you hear Lando calling your name from a distance "Y/NNN!!" You laugh as you make your way over to him "yes Lando".
"I know it's a big ask but can we do what we used to do as kids?" You are surprised by his question, not knowing how to answer.
"Lando, I..I don't know" you say stuttering a little.
He gives you a pleading look "please just this once, it might help me win" you think about it for a second remembering the days when you used to do it.
*Flashback*
"Wish me luck y/n!" 12 year old Lando says
You walk over to his car, you kiss him on his cheek, and then a kiss on the head, you hold out your hand to do your secret handshake.
"Good luck muppet, you've got this" you say smiling widely at him.
"Thank you Peach, see you on the other side" he says giving you a big smile back.
*End of flashback*
"Fine just this once!" You walk closer to him,
you kiss his cheek, then his head, you hold out your hand and instead of your handshake he kisses your hand. "Good luck today muppet" you say a little shocked still.
"Thank you Peach, it means a lot to have you here" he says giving you a sweet smile.
You smile before walking off, heading on over to grab some headphones and watch the race.
You sit down watching the race on the screen in the McLaren garage. Currently Lando is P5 and Oscar is P7. "Come on boys you've got this" you whisper to yourself...
