After a few weeks of that traumatic experience parent-teacher conferences came around. Eda had everything set up she had progress. Reports on her desk incase parents asked questions, a water gun just in case, she dresses up a little nicer than usual, so just a white buttoned up shirt and non ripped jeans, and boots, and decided not leave her hair done for shits and giggles.
When the parents started rolling in eda was ready. And unfortunately the blight family came in first, and eda was bombarded by odalia. "Edalyn Clawthorne! When my poor mittens Informed me you were a teacher I must say! How irresponsible must you be as a student before you realize your not meant to be a teacher!?" Eda stayed there blankly, then sprayed odaila with the water gun. Odalia backed off, and Amity silently thanked her. Eda nodded, then was met with Luz and her mother. "Ms Clawthorne! It's nice to meet you" eda smiled, then looked down at Luz and ruffled her hair. "Nice to meet ya to, Luz is a great kid, sweet as hell, you did a great job" eda said with a smile leaning on her desk. "I'm so glad! But um.. She.. Had this" Camila pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to eda, as Luz ran off with her friends. Eda looked at it and blushed hard. It was a picture of her and Raine in the hallway and Luz had written "RAEDA SUPREMACY" on it. "Oh shit.. " eda mumbled. "Listen.. I don't know what you two have going on, but Luz.. Well.. When she sets her mind on something.. She'll.. Do very.. Chaotic things to get it done.. Just tell her. No schemes no plots, no rises.. And absolutely under no circumstances are there to be shenanigans" eda was surprised by this. "Uhh.. Okay, well I am all one for chaos but if it's really that bad then il uh.. Keep an eye on her" Camila nodded, then took Luz, and as she and Camila left, Raine walked in. "Hey wal- Ms Clawthorne" they said since other people were around. "Ms whispere, what can I do ya for?" Eda asked playing along. Raine blushed and chuckled. "How would the lady feel.. About me taking her to a cafe this weekend?" Eda giggled, then looked at Raine and brushed hair behind her ear and fave Raine a charming smile that was very much intentional. "The lady.. Says yes, see ya Saturday" Raine smiled and nodded, then another parent came up to eda. "Ms Clawthorne, thank you so much, my sons performance had gotten a lot better in school because of you" eda gushed and chuckled. "Well thank you! Glad I could help" raine admired they way eda handled everything.
At the end of the parent teacher conference eda started cleaning up her class room whe her sister came in. " edalyn? You all done in here?" Eda looked over, and nodded. "Yes actually! Just finished, you need something?" Lilith shook her head. "A.. Little birdie told me.. You accepted to go on a date with Raine" eda blushed hearing this, and cleared her throat. "D-date!? It's not a date!? Did.. They uh.. Say.. It was a date?" She asked nervously tucked her hair behinde her ear. Lilith snickered and stood next to her sister. "So.. Seems like you might end up with Raine after all, I told you they were nice" Lilith boasted. "No.. No.. No. No. No.. No.. No romance, just.. A cafe trip between friends" Lilith sighed and shook her head. "Edalyn, it's very easy to tell you like them, I know you've have a few bad experiences with relationships but.. I think you should give them a chance if they have you acting like this" eda didn't say anything at first, she shook her head. "Well.. That's how it starts out.. Feels good in the beginning.. Then.. Once they get you in bed a few times they move on" Lilith hated that her sister had this view point on dating, regardless she knew eda loved Raine, or.. At least had interest in them. "Eda.. Please.. Please.. Don't do this to yourself, I mean were still young, just consider it.. They.. Seem sincere" eda welled up, and her heart aching. "They ALL! Seemed sincere..! And where did that get me, huh!? On the floor crying my damn eyes not, so no, I'm not going to consider it, just drop it" Lilith felt bad so upsetting her sister. "Edalyn, I'm sorry! I just.. It's hard seeing you like this.. I mean your just hurting yourself" eda wiped her face, then calmed down. "I said drop it.. " eda walked out the room, but meanwhile
Luz was at home divising a scheme. She had an otter costume on her bed, and had collected a few hand held confetti canons. "Luz! Dinner time!" Luz heard her mother call out. Luz went out her room, and to the table to eat dinner. "Mija, how's your costume for the Halloween dance coming along?" Luz's eyes lit up. "I'm going as an otter! With a darkside!" Camila giggled at her daughters response. "Alright then, seems you have everything all figured out, just promise me something" Luz looked at her mom ready to promise whatever she needed. "Go go missing at the zoo" Luz started laughing at her mother's joke. And Camila laughed as well.
