Getting up in the morning is tiring.. To tiring. Especially is your always or usually hungover from the previous night after drinking yourself into a coma. However this was a usually routine for edalyn clawthorne. All she could do was pop a few painkillers, and drink some coffee.
Eda.. Was a teacher for some reason, even after swearing up and down that once she got out of school she'd never step foot in one again. The irony.. Am I right?
As eda walked into the building, and over to the teachers lounge, she heard a familiar voice. "Edalyn clawthorne..!?" Eda jumped, and looked back. Only to see her old.. Very old..science teacher. "Oh my god your still alive.. " she mumbled feeling slightly uncomfortable because at this point Terra looked like a rasin. Eda then cleared her throat, then looked for a way out. "Such an horrific student could never be an adequate teacher" eda scoffed, then rembered Terra couldn't do anything to her anymore. "Yeah well, you should be 6 feet in someone's grave yard.. So il do me, and you do you until.. You, turn to dust" eda walked out the teachers lounge and went over to meet her sister, who was also a teacher. A history teacher. "Lilyyy" Eda. Chanted. "In a moment, edalyn I think I have it right this time" eda looked over her sisters shoulder to see her makes a seating chart.
Eda rolled her eyes. "Seriously? A seating chart?" Lilith sighed. "Yes it's a great way to maintain organization in my classroom, and above all keep my students focused" eda sighed. "Of course it will.. " she mumbled in annoyance. "And by the way your in violation of the dress code" Lilith said. Eda looked down at her outfit. She has on a red shirt that went off one of her shoulders, showing the strap if her bra, and was also see through a little. Ripped jeans and boots. Eda looked at her sister. "Well fuck you and and the dress code" Lilith face palmed. "And please reframe from the vulgar language.. " eda flicked off her sister, and went to her own classroom.
As eda walked in and turned on the light she heard. "Morning Ms clawthorne!" Eda jumped and let out a mild scream. Eda saw a younger girl with green hair, pale skin, and golden eyes. "W-what.. Are you doing here? School doesn't start for another 2 hours.." The girl took out a plastic container, and got to give it to eda. "I came early! To give you these" the girl handed eda a container of cookies which eda thought was weird but didn't want to be rude so she took them. "Uhm.. Thank.. You." Eda went and sat at her desk and the girl did the same... Just staring at her. Eda looked at the girl for a second, very disturbed. "Um.. Hey kid, why.. Don't you go visit one of your other teachers?" Eda suggested. "Oh my name is amity, amity blight" everything clicked at that very moment..eda was Internally screaming.
Just then there was knocking on edas door. Darius walked in, and leaned on the door frame. "Yo eda, you have an extra-.. " he stopped seeing amity. Eda looked between the two then saw opportunity. "Uh.. Hey.. This um.. " eda looked down, because she already forgot amitys name. "Blights kid" eda said. Darius immediately looked at amity, then left. "Do I get extra credit fit showing up early?" Eda sighed, remembering the pain of knowing her mother. ".. Sure"
By the time school actually started, eda was standing by her door in the hallway, while on her phone. Eda felt someone near her. Eda looked to her left and saw someone with light brown skin, green hair, green eyes and glasses, sort of towering over her. Not by much, but she still had to slightly look up to look them in the eyes. Eda took in this persons appearance for a second before speaking. "Can I help you?" Eda looked at the badge if the person.
Raine whispers
Raine held up a paper and looked at it. "I found this on the floor, q student names Luz noceda.. She has your class next, so I thought you could give it to her" eda took the paper, then nodded. "Alright, I will uh, do that" eda gave a small smile and a wink then entered her classroom.
Raine was surprised by the action, causing some heat to flush their cheeks. Raine brushed through their hair with their hand, and chuckled.
While Raine started heading back to their classroom, they thought about eda. No girl had ever really some something like that to them before. It made them feel good, and sort of attractive. They wanted to get to know her, and maybe.. Even have a chance with her.
When the bell rung, Raine had a few music sheets out on the desks since they were a music teacher, as the students came in. "Good morning everyone! Sit where ever you'd like" they students did as they were told, and looked at the sheet music. "Alright, now I know you might now know much of this, but try and label the music notes. A, B, C, D, E and F" the students started working, while Raine watched them carefully.
Meanwhile eda was also working with her students. "Alright kiddos, my name is Ms clawthorne, Ms eda, whatever" eda didn't like to sound old.. Well.. Because she wasn't old. She was only 29. "Now it's really the first day so personally a very... Persistent.. Coworker said I should go over the rules of the class or whatever" the students were surprised eda spoke this way, they could tell she was more laid back. "Look I don't care if swear.. It's english and this in an English class, just do what I tell you, and if you can't wait to use the restroom, just hurry and take a pass their on the wall" eda then sat on her desk and folded her legs. "Alright kiddos, do whatever I don't really care" amity raised her hand. "Ms clawthorne! Shouldn't we start the lesson?" Eda sighed. "Listen bossy boots, it's the first day, nobody feels like learning and I don't feel like teaching" amity looked down, and eda rolled her eyes. "Look of you can you can read the textbook" amitys eyes lit up and eda just shook her head. "Nerd.. "She mumbled.
During the teachers lunch break, eda was with her sister and Darius. " no no, seriously she asked for work on the first day" Darius chuckled. "She sounds like an admirable student" Lilith said. "She sounds like a teachers pet" Darius added. "Exactly! So any way-" eda stopped she she felt someone standing over her. She looked up, only to see Raine. "Ms clawthorne.. " they said with a smile, in a sort of playful way. "Oh, hey whispers, you need somethin?" Raine blushed slightly, and chuckled. "Ah.. Um.. How'd you know my name?" Eda now chuckled. "Well it's on your badge,ya goof" Lilith and Darius exchanged glances, wondering where this conversation was going. "Just uh.. Want to uh.. " Raine tripped over their words a bit. "Oh, that students schedule! You wanted to see if I gave that girl her schedule right?" Raine chuckled nervously and held the back of their neck. "Y-yeah.. You got me" Raine was obviously lying, but eda didn't pick up on that. "Your.. An English teacher arnt you?" Eda nodded. "I am. You need something?" She asked. "Yeah.. I'm writing something for a friend.. Can you tell me another.. And rather.. Uncommon word for beautiful?" Eda took a second to think. "Uhm.. Classy, divine, foxy and.. Radient?" Raine smiled and nodded. "Hope that helps" eda said. "It did, thanks.. And by the way.. You look divine in red" after saying that, they walked off. While eda was trying to fully process what just happened, Lilith and Darius did it for her. "Oh my god, they were flirting with you!" Lilith said with a little excitement. "What now-.. "
Btw.. Just because homophobia is not tolerated.. Everyone knows Raine is non binary, just because. Or.. Would it be classified under trans phobia? Regardless neither is tolerated.
