3rd POV:
Rain was falling from the dark, cloudy sky. The sound of dripping water coming off the roofs of the city buildings. A small girl sat curled up in a ball, her knees pulled to her chest, under a large rundown building, crying.
The small girl, when getting a good look at her, had the appearance of a demon. Her small black pointed tail lying on the ground. Her right pointy ear black with purple and white freckles, while the other one a pale tan with brown freckles on it. Then finally her skin. It was a pale tan color covered in brown freckles then along her body were large black spots.
She had been crying into her knees for so long she had not noticed the jett black Monkey Demon standing in front of her holding an umbrella. Probably coming home from an outing.
"Heya there bud" Said a deep yet comforting, male voice.
She jumped in place, startled that he was there. However, not daring to look at him, still curled up in a ball. "What are you doing out here in the rain?" The voice asked again. Still no response.
The man decided to let her tell him what was wrong. He walked into his rundown dojo and came back a few minutes later. Walking back to where he saw the girl, surprisingly she was still there, in the same position he found her. He sat down next to her, put a blanket on her shoulders, and held out a hand that had a cup of hot cocoa. She removed her head from her knees and looked up at him confused, Why he was helping HER? She then realized he was a Monkey Demon.
The man had finally gotten a good look at her face and was surprised. This child's face was split, the right side was black with purple and white freckles, like her ear, she also had small black horns. Her eyes glowing, right eye purple and the other black. She had brown freckles all along the left side of her face and a pair of circular glasses that had a black rimming. She surely must have been some sort of demon. . . But what?
He was taken out of his thoughts when he felt small hands take the cup from his hand with a quiet, "Thank You. . ."
He stared very intrigued by this small child's appearance. Watching as she gently drank the warm liquid with a hum. When the girl had finished she handed the cup back to the Monkey Man. (Pun Intended :>).
"You never answered my question. What are you doing in the rain?" He asked again, taking the cup from her and putting it in a shadow portal behind him. She didn't answer, just staring at the rain. "May I at least know your name?" Her gaze slowly shifted from the rain to meet his. "Lavender. . . Lavender Kaen" Her answer was short and simple yet got straight to the point. The Jett Black Monkey felt that the name was familiar. He stared at the rain, thinking.
Suddenly, small hands tugged on his left sleeve. He looked down at Lavender, her head tilted, clearly having a question. "What is your name, Mr. . ." He couldn't help but chuckle at the auburn haired child, "Macaque, The. . . Uh, Six Eared Macaque is y'know my full name"
She did not let go of him but looked at the rain. Lavenders head slowly began bobbing, clearly tired. Her head landing on the arm she was holding.
"Macaque, huh? . . . That's a nice name." She whispered before drifting into a peaceful slumber.
