Riya and Sean ran as fast as they could within a few steps they got out of that just like how they had entered but they didn't stop there Sean took her to their usual spot after they reached there Riya felt something that she never felt before Sean saw Riya's face turned sad and he asked
"what is it bothering you, Riya?"
"Guilt I reckon"
She shook his shoulder and asked, "Do you think he'll make it out okay? That thing was way too much for him to handle. Should we go back and help him? We can take it on together, right?" He replied, "I'm sure he'll be back, but we're not strong enough to beat it on our own."
"Come on, Sean! Let's get moving," Riya exclaimed, glancing over to see Tiago panting beside them. He had narrowly escaped a dangerous serpent and had a wound on his forehead that was bleeding. "Is this a dream, Sean? Pinch me!" Tiago chuckled in disbelief.
Riya blushed so hard "Look! he's bleeding go and heal him, Sean" She pushed Sean toward Tiago but Sean was stumbling on his way over, Tiago managed to catch him by the waist, and his grip was surprisingly strong, preventing Sean from falling to the ground....again.
However, Riya interrupted them and asked, "What are you doing, Sean?" which caused them to move away from each other at the sound of her voice.
"Riya You ruined a beautiful moment!"
"you're supposed to heal him with your magic not by looking" Riya says with a facepalm "What's the difference?" Tiago whispered
"Alright let me just.. " Sean gently swipes his hand on the wound with his magic and it faded away without a scar
"There!" Sean smiled and Tiago smiled back warmly " So, how did you escape from that serpent? Riya questioned him.
"Everyone has a weakness so does the Great King Cobra, even if I wanted I couldn't slay it because its skin is too thick but there was a large amount of sharp Raskilian plants growing alongside the trees.." Tiago explained the way he escaped
"Raskilian Plants?! It's the rarest medicine as well as the most poisonous plant in this world" Sean exclaimed surprised
"but I didn't see the broken branch of a tree while running that's how I got that wound"
"It's good to see you again. I'm sorry for my behaviour earlier," Riya confesses, her guilt palpable.
"Don't worry about it. Let's start anew, shall we?" Tiago grins, reaching out his hand to embark on their journey together. "I'm Tiago." Riya firmly shakes his hand, "I'm Riya" introducing herself. As they exchange pleasantries, Sean can't help but feel overwhelmed with emotion, never imagining that this moment would become a reality.
"Sean, it might be a good idea for you to reconsider about joining the academy," Riya suggested, trying to convince him.
"I've already told you, I don't want to," Sean responded, but Riya cut him off.
"Just so you know, Councillor Kairo has ordered it," she stated firmly.
"Why me?" Sean inquired, taken aback by the sudden news.
"I'm not entirely sure, but your race caused quite a stir," Riya explained, sounding exhausted from the commotion.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what to do about this order. Oh, and Tiago, you're coming too?" asked Sean."Yeah, I am," Tiago answered.
Air blows fast
As they hurriedly looked up, the wind started to pick up speed. The dark clouds looming over them suggested an imminent heavy storm and they realized it was time to go home so they split ways after saying their goodbyes. On the way to Penoriya, Sean and Riya had a small conversation
"That demonic presence has gone just like that! I am still wondering how?" Riya says with excitement
"I didn't sense anything," Sean said with confusion
"whatever it is, it's gone for now but I'll report this to the higher officials"
"This conversation was finished as they went into the capital"
