"I did think about it," Sean responded as they walked towards the Kingdom gate
"Good, let's go. I need to give this scroll," she said as she retrieved it from her coat.
"Sean, do you know where General Samantha is?" she asked.
"She could be at the Kingdom gate right now," he suggested. They walked on, ready to deliver the scroll to its rightful owner.
*At the Entrance Gate of Penoriya*
"Where is General Sam?!" Riya shouted, spotting her in the distance. Sam turned to her voice.
"Oh, hello kids. How are you doing?" she asked cheerfully.
"Good" "Better" they responded in unison.
"Councillor Kairo gave this to you from HQ," Riya said, handing over the scroll to Sam. Sam read it silently and closed it with a look of anger that made both of them flinch.
"We're leaving now, General Sam," Riya suggested.
"Agreed. Thanks for the scroll, Riya. Take care of each other," Sam whispered sternly, causing the soldiers around her to swallow nervously. "And as for me, I need to take care of someone at HQ."
They entered the forest after passing through the gate.
Sean asked, "I wonder who that unlucky soul is?"
Riya replied with a laugh, "It's our Kairo."
"Any idea what's in that scroll?" Sean inquired.
"No need to guess, I've already read it," Riya winked at him.
"What does it declare? ", Sean was curious about it.
Riya whispered in his ear, "Kairo Ordered General Samantha to put more guards on security around our kingdom's boundaries"
"More security? But we have already enough protection to safeguard the Enormous Crystal!"
"I don't know what Kairo thinks, do I?", She replied. Sean realized something all of a sudden.
"Riya, why are we going into the forest?" Sean asked, confused.
"To train ourselves, of course!" Riya replied.
"No need, Riya. I'm not joining the Academy," Sean said with a melancholy expression.
"I am confused, why?" She asked looking at him.
"The more I ponder over it, the more I am losing my confidence. I don't think I can achieve the title of a 'Hero' as a mere healer," he replied in a state of confusion.
"No, Sean, that's not true. We just need to be a part of a good team and..." she tried to convince him to stay optimistic, but before she could finish her sentence, he interrupted her.
"Even if I master the art of healing, it won't be useful in a ruthless battle. I'll end up getting killed," his words and mind started to shake, leaving him at a loss for words.
"But what about your HM? If you perfect the art of healing, you could attain a much better power for your hard work," she suggested, trying to encourage him.
"I don't care anymore! Leave me alone!" With those words, an unexpected flash of pure white light appeared out of nowhere, making Riya's eyes blur for a moment. She rubbed her eyes to regain clear vision. The light vanished as quickly as it had appeared, and Riya realized that Sean was nowhere to be found. After the light disappeared, she hoped that he had run into the forest. She too stormed off into the forest, hoping she could find him before anything happened.
A little further into the forest, Tiago, who was waiting for Sean's arrival, sensed that something was amiss. Despite his concern, he started walking towards the path that would lead him to the kingdom of Penoriya, hoping he would find Sean on his way.
Riya called out Sean's name, expecting that he would respond. Unfortunately, Tiago was coming on the same path. Will fate bring them together, or will their meeting be delayed?
