I'm finally delivering a one shot—woo 😍

The bright rays of the sunlight had invaded the newly mated couples marui. Neteyam was awakened by the sun and he rolled on his side. Sleepily searching the space next to him as he found it empty. His eyes shot open in alert because where did his Ao'nung go? Ao'nung was the one who always slept in and always laid beside Neteyam.

"Ma'nung?" Neteyam called out, as he received no response. He frowned as he sat up from their sleeping mat. "Ma'nung?!" Neteyam called out again, as he only received silence back in answer. Worry etched Neteyam as he rubbed his eyes and stood up. "Ma'nung?!" He called out once more, searching for Ao'nung throughout their shared marui.

When Neteyam couldn't find his mate, Neteyam groaned out loud as he exited out his marui. "MA'NUNG?!" He loudly called out, covering his eyes from the bright sun. As he passed others in the clan, he greeted them with "morning" as he did the 'I see you' gesture. They always happily greeted him back with, "morning to you too, Olo'eyktan, I see you". He smiled back before asking, "have you seen Ao'nung? I didn't see him in the marui." And they always frowned and said no. He would sigh and move on to doing the same thing to other Metkayina's who passed by.

Thankfully, he had seen Lo'ak and Tsireya in the near distance. He sighed out of relief as he jogged over to the two. When they noticed Neteyam, they smiled at him but glanced confused looks at each other before raising an eyebrow and brow bone in question. "You ok bro? You look like you're in distraught." Lo'ak pointed out, frowning a little. "Yea? Are you ok? What's wrong?" Tsireya asked next, frowning as well.

Neteyam let out a breath as he looked at the two. "Have you guys seen nung yet? He wasn't in the marui." Neteyam asked, looking to the two in hope they had an idea. Tsireya and Lo'ak glanced at each other with conflicting expressions. Neteyam raised a brow bone in confusion and question as he looked between the two. "Did you see him?" Neteyam asked again.

After a while of waiting for a response, Tsireya was the one about to speak, but before she could even get a word out, Lo'ak tapped her arm, shaking his head no. At this, Neteyam's eyes widened a bit as he scoffed out. "Do you know something Lo'ak?" Neteyam asked, narrowing his eyes at his little brother. After receiving no response back, Neteyam clenched his fist as he scowled at Lo'ak. "Loak. Where is my mate?" Neteyam began to ask, in a pissed tone.

Lo'ak let out a sigh as he rolled his eyes. "Ao'nung doesn't want us to tell you." Lo'ak said, frowning up at his brother. Neteyam was appalled as his eyes widened again. He looked to Tsireya, and when he saw her frown and nod in confirmation, Neteyam got upset. "Where did he say he was going to go?" Neteyam asked, looking at the two in further question.

"You don't get it, Teyam? Ao'nung told us not to tell you. Stop asking for Eywa's sake!" Lo'ak complained, rolling his eyes at Neteyam. Neteyam looked at Lo'ak like he was crazy, as he scoffed out. "Lo'ak. Tell me where my goddamn mate is. I'm not going to ask you again." Neteyam cursed to Lo'ak in English. Lo'ak rubbed his face at his older brother's stubbornness.
