Amid the throbbing strong bass and the pulsating lights of the underground nightclub, the birthday party for Tom and Bill was in full swing.

There were many people, therefore also many eyes. Liv felt a little anxiety but knew a drink would ease her troubles.

She sipped her drink and the world begin blurring, exploding from it's normal gray colors to vibrant ones. The lights around her grew brighter. The music began to echo in her head. Her thoughts became a chaotic jungle.

Liv had joined in the revelry, dancing with Alex.

From across the dimly lit dance floor, Liv's eyes fell upon her boyfriend. Tom stood at the bar, engrossed in conversation with a brunette girl. Taller than her. Strikingly beautiful eyes. And oh- her silhouette.
Anyone would fall for that.

Their heads were close together, and though the music was loud, she could hear their laughter which reached her ears in hushed, intimate tones.

Tom and the brunette were sharing a deeply private moment. Liv's breath caught in her throat as jealousy and panic surged through her.

She watched, helpless, as Tom and the brunette continued to talk.

Talk. Talk. Talk.

What was so important? What was more important than her?

Their bodies leaning closer until their lips nearly touched. In that agonizing moment, Liv's world shattered. It felt like the ground crumbled beneath her feet, and she was falling into an abyss of despair.
It felt like the rug she was standing on had been pulled and she fell to the ground face first. It felt like she was in a fucking circus.

Tears welled in Liv's eyes as her mind raced with the possibility that Tom was cheating on her. No. He wouldn't do that. Not after all they've been through. After all the memories. After she gave herself completely to him. He wouldn't ever do that....right?

The weight of that thought bore down on her chest, making it hard to breathe. Panic began to strangle her, and she felt a sharp pang in her heart.

With a frantic stride, Liv pushed her way through the crowd, she heard Alex shouting her name a few times but did not care enough to stop.
Her vision was blurred by the tears that streamed down her cheeks. She couldn't ever be ready to bear to witness what she believed to be the betrayal of the man she loved.

She had to get out.

Outside, the cool breeze hit her face, but offered no chance of silence from the whirlwind of thoughts and emotions raging within her. Liv crumbled to her knees on the sidewalk, gasping for breath as her panic attack took hold of her entire being for that moment.
