Narrator Nami is deathly Ill and doesn't appear to be getting any better. Somebody has to take over navigation because Nami is obviously not up for the job.
Sanji couldn't because he had to boosie slide all over the place to at least keep some things in order.
Luffy couldn't because he is dumb.
Usopp couldn't because he was keeping watch and making sure they were all safe with his sharpshooter yesterday.
Vivi was boosie sliding with sanji in the corner. (Not as good as him)
Zoro was the only option.
Zoro took the wheel and started to turn it when sanji boosie slided into him. Then Sanji and Zoro started passionately making out.
Nobody was doing anything so a pot hole opened up in the middle of the ocean...
