I wait for the train. Phillip's spent the last hour complaining about leaving with me. My nose fills with smells. Sometimes I hate having the senses of a wolf. I can see better, useful. I can hear better, useful. I can smell better, sometimes useful. It's useful for vampires and finding things.
However, in this crowd. There are so so many smells. I can smell children, men, woman, and animals. I can smell the scents of their blood and odors. It's like being in a room full of flowers and perfume.
"Hey is this train ever going to come??" Phillip asks for the hundredth time.
I roll my eyes.
"Yes. I can smell the coal. It's coming soon." I look at him.
"Finally." Phillip says.
As my nose predicted, the train quickly arrives. There's a smell among all these people. A different smell. Ryoko?? I smell her. She smells like steal and paper. I look around. She can't really be here? Can she?? You know what, I'm not going to worry about this right now. I take in a breath.
"Phillip, c'mon." I say.
