"So how are you and Fare doing?" Naomi, Akeyluh's best friend at the time questioned. Naomi was so invested in Akeyluh's relationship with Pharah just like everyone in their school were, maybe more so. The two have been having a thing going on since the second week of school but nothing was official yet.
Everyone had soon spectated the brewing romance between them but it wasn't like they were hiding it.
The pair received lots of questions about them asking if they were really seeing each other and such, as well as unnecessary comments regarding them being "too pretty to be gay" while others thought it was the coolest thing ever being that gay couples especially fem couples weren't seen as much throughout their school.
You could say they were captivating lots of attention in their first year of high school.
"Everything's fine Naomi, you're asking that as if something happened between us." Akeyluh laughed before returning to her assignment at hand.
"I'm Just asking because you rarely talk about y'all's relationship," Naomi rebutted. Naomi always told Akeyluh about her relationships so she thought her best friend would do the same except she was so secretive about the whole thing, she thought it was because the girl didn't trust her with that part of her life like she did the rest.
Akeyluh sighed before tightening her silk pressed ponytail with loosely curled ends, "well it's because we just want to figure things out between us and enjoy ourselves without everyone else as well, it's exhausting," she shook her head in exasperation.
Akeyluh and Pharah knew each other from Instagram and Musically and would interact with each other's posts. They had an immediate attraction to each other but as soon as they found out that they would be in the same school, they were able to actually act on their attractions, being that they at first couldn't due to attending separate middle schools twenty minutes away from the other.
The first week of school they tried to balance and form more of a friendship and that was more so Akeyluh's decision. She was still scared of acting on her attractions— but Pharah brought up in question, wondering why should they waste time acting as if they didn't like each other?
So from there, they decided to continue their budding friendship along with trying the romantic aspects.
They've been on only one date so far and it was a surprise picnic that Akeyluh had planned after Pharah's birthday.
"Mm yeah I get that, have you guys kissed yet?" Naomi squealed in excitement to which Akeyluh rolled her eyes to with a chuckle, "no we have not," Akeyluh answered which pulled a gasp from Naomi.
"Why the hell not?" Naomi was so intrigued on hearing more from her best friend that she pushed her pencil and paper away from her to give her full attention to Keyluh.
