Waalaikis salam Zara'u we are all fine how's studies.

Alhamdulillah everything is fine so how is Salim doing I miss him a lot I miss you all a lot.

We all are fine and you are not staying there forever Zara you will come back home for holidays, I thought you said you only have a month by then you will be through will your exams and you will come for holiday.

Yes Umma I answer her slowly.

Then you will soon see us.

But am home sick am just tired of been alone here I wish I could come for weekend.

No Zara'u stay and study for your upcoming Examinations we can't afford you failing you know how important your studies is to us you don't have any excuse to slack off do you hear me?

Yes Umma I said trying to stop the tears that is refusing to stop from coming down my cheeks.

So now wipe your tears and act like the big girl you are and we will be here when you come back okey.

Salim miss you too we all do she said trying to cheer me up, even your aunt is asking about you call her when you have the time ok.

Najwa do you know that yesterday Sufyan call and I missed his call.

Really what happened she ask excitedly.

I went to Fatima's room I left my phone charging when I come back it was around 10pm I felt it's late to call him back but this morning I saw his message too.

Why did he always call you around 8pm she ask me.

Well I sort of tell him that, that is the best time to call me after lectures and before I starts reading.

You are still giving this guy a hard time Zara'u.

It's not like that am just giving him a hint if he can take it and just vanish I said demonstrating how I mean with hand which she just burst in laughing and I join her too.
Well is he taking the hint or not?

Unfortunately no he is just been nice and persistent I said shaking my head.

What? I ask looking at her smiling.

I will say you are gradually getting there "guilt " is a good way to start so why don't you call him.

You think I should call him? I ask her.

Yes why not I mean you have been ignoring his calls for a while now so why don't you return the gesture call him she urged me.

Ok I will need for us to sit before I do that ....., why don't we sit there I said pointing at some chairs under the shade.

Uhmm am liking this she said teasingly and I shake my head when we sit I open my purse to bring out my phone and then dial his number it rings for a while and ended without him answering.
What Najwa ask me and before I answer her my phone starts ringing with his number on my screen.

Hello I heard his deep voice.

Hold on a sec I hear him say my facial expression change then Najwa mouthed what? And I shrug saying I don't know.
before hearing him at the background speaking' will you carry on with the meeting I have to take this and he excuse him self' ..... sorry about that beautiful I am a meeting when you call.

But I am glad you call, today most be my lucky day he said in a friendly manner.

I most be stupid because I couldn't answer him am out of words.

No no I mean this is  the first time you call me this most be a special day I have to mark this day.

And that make me smile now you are making me feel bad for not calling you I pout like he is in front of me and Najwa wide her eyes looking at me.

No there is nothing to feel bad about as far as I can call you that's totally fine with me he said almost immediately.

Am fine how are you I ask him.

Alhamdulillah am fine and much better now that I hear your voice and we smile at the same time.
We talk on the phone for almost 30 minutes is when Najwa starts showing me the time that I know is time to say goodbye.

I have to go now.

This soon he whine and that makes me laugh.

Yes this soon we have reading section and it will start now next week is exams.

Ohh ok I wish you all the best well am in Lagos now but I will be back tomorrow morning will it be possible to see you tomorrow please.

And I nearly said yes with his politeness but no I can just give in just because he is a sweet talker,  am just booked out with readings assignment and I don't have time to spare maybe after my exams if you can wait.

That's too long but I guess I will just have to since I want you to come out with flying colors, but promise me one no two things he said pleadingly.

Nah this is my chance to ask so I will use it wisely you know business men and opportunity so am asking can I make my demands?

Ok I don't have the chance to say no right? I said smiling.

Right so number one I know you are busy with your studies but I will love to be speaking with you on the phone once in while and you will promise to answer the phone.

What if I begin to say.........

No dear there is not.

Okey we can see after my Examinations I said with a sigh.

Hehehe Najwa burst in laughing are you sure you did not fall in love? She ask looking at me.

Ohh he is so nice Juju I said dreamingly and so....... So polite his mum most have raise him so well.
