Chapter tweenty two ~ the pain that comes with it

Zara'u POV

Did you know the feeling when you are in pain and then boom everything starts to fall apart that's what I am going through right now.
After I arrived at the park first I was unable to get a car that is going to my town I have to wait for additional one hour, when I finally got the car everything about it was just upsetting me the driver is noisy and doesn't seem to understand that I am in no mood for small talks.
He doesn't know when to shut up and he is driving way behind limit I think we are going to spend forever on the road.

When I arrived home I found out that Najwa try my line when  she couldn't reach me  she called Umma to check whether I arrived and that makes them all worried because they don't know that I change my plan on coming back home today.
They were all sitting in the living room hoping and praying that I arrived home safely.

When I finally did Umma was so upset that all she did was yell at me for making them worried and that upset me more.

I couldn't eat even when Saliha brought me food I only tell her to get me tea.

For three days I have been like this upset, worried and sad I still couldn't eat, although I apologize to Umma but still I stay at our room all day so this is what heart breaks feels like.

Zara'u he said coming in.

I was laying down on our bed with my eyes close I wasn't sleeping so I just open my eyes and set it on Zubair who sit next to me.

What's wrong sis he ask with concern.

You and I both know that it's not what happened with Umma that is making you this upset something most have happened at school to make you come back that late.

I begins to shed tears.

Come on sis if you didn't tell me what's going on with you who are you going to talk to ?

Zubair I call out with a teary voice then I told him everything that happens, Zubair is the one person in our family that I can tell everything that's is going on between I and Sufyan even the gifts that he bought for me I used to tell him everything so he knows.

Wow I guess I know why Umma is against you dating if you are going to be like this because of one heart break I wonder how you will be when you see him with other women he said looking at me.

I wipe my tears with my hand that's not the case Zee beside I will be over him in no time I said trying to assure myself more than him.

Did you talk to him I mean did you talk to  Sufyan did you tell him that some lady threatened you to leave him ..... I shake my head in a no then that's not fair to him, you can not just cut someone without hearing his side of the story.

I don't want to talk to him I hate him I said sobbing.

You don't mean that Zara'u I know you are hurt so I will allow that to pass but if you don't want me to tell Umma what is actually happening, now young lady you are going to stand up take your bath and go help Saliha in the kitchen, you will smile at everyone make conversation with everyone and be free because we want our sister back.

Ok I said wiping my tears.

Oya dey go, he pull me up to bathroom direction.

After I did everything that Zubair said I went out and find Saliha in the kitchen.

Where is Umma I ask her.

She went out she answer me happily.

I smile at her then I help her finish cooking Umma come back to find us eating in the same plate by the look at her face she is happy to see me outside.

From that day I try to come back to my normal self although I am still hurting in the inside.

Zara'u you have to talk to Sufyan he is worry sick about you at least he gives you the time you ask for ... a month is enough what more do you want him to do.
He calls me everyday I seriously feel bad for him she said worrying.
Even though I did not tell him what happened 'that's between the two of you my lips are zipped but you have to tell him yourself and I suggest is high time.

I don't know juju I said rubbing my head with my hand like she is in front of me to be candid am scared what if that woman is his wife.....

But he never told you that he is married she answer me.

That's the problem what if he hide it from me? Is not that I don't want to give him room to explain himself is just that I am scare of the truth.

You know Sufyan will not give up on you hear him out first then you can decide and be the judge.

Am fine I reply with a smile.

When he enter the leaving room where all of my siblings were sitting including Umma they just welcome him without as much as a glance his way.
Evan Saleem that was busy playing up and down in the leaving room stop.

Here I said giving him water.

Our father .... Well he is just a complicated man who doesn't even know what he want, I once heard him arguing with Umma that he married her because her and her family ware on his neck to marry just because he made a mistake of falling in love with her.
He said he is not ready for marriage or a family.

Since that day I know where I and my siblings stand with our father if he comes home I respect him if he doesn't it's fine with me.

He spend the weekend with us when he is leaving he call me.

Zara'u come here he called me.

Here he said giving me some money take this.

For what I ask him with respect.

For feeding you and your siblings, you know now I have two families although your mother stop you all from visiting my new wife but I have to take of both families and now things are a bit rough for me so manage he said like we are not his children he sounds like we are are some random kids that he has to take care of.
I will be back by next week he begins to say again list all the food stuff that you need I will come with it by weekend he finish saying.

This is my father laying to my face and I can't say anything about it I don't even know he has a new family because I heard he divorced the other one.

The next day I am cooking while Saliha and Saleem are in the living room watching television when someone knock on our door.

Coming I said wiping my hand with a kitchen towel and opening the door.
