The General clearly pissed of the consistent knocking, opened the door to reveal Yanqing with a tiny bird in his hands.

It was a blue...FINCH?!

"I found it while I was training...I was hoping you could help me! You are good with animals, General!" Yanqing said as he brought the rare blue finch closer to him.

"I'll see what I can do..." the General said while gently taking the fragile little bird, as Yanqing nodded and headed off to keep training.

"Poor little thing...it has a broken wing" the General said as he put the bird on his desk and took out a towel with some bandages.

He wrapped the wing gently with the bandage and put a stick to keep it stiff and straight, and gently put the bird on top of the towel for him to rest.

"There...rest and grow strong."

Little did the general know...the bird was rare because it had blue feathers unlike any finch he had ever seen but it was rare also because the bird was actually human...it was no other than Blade using a transformation technique he had learned just that day.

While the General sat back down and went back to what he was doing, the bird woke up alerting the General.

"Hm? Oh hey little birdie~ you're in good hands..." Jing Yuan said as he caressed the bird's head with his finger gently.

Even though Jing Yuan couldn't see it, the bird was smiling happily at the gesture Jing Yuan gave him.

But a broken wing would take at least a week to heal so the bird—which was Blade—stayed in the General's care for about a week and a half.

Yanqing would always visit the bird inside the general's office and would feed it crumbs. Surprisingly, Blade accepted the food Yanqing gave him.

When the General headed to his house for the day he took the bird with him since Blade had purposefully fallen down when he wasn't taken to the General's house, so the General took him to his abode.

There Blade was a sneaky pervert, since he took every chance he could to get to see the General without clothes, armor, or sleeping. Since at night the General slept, Blade would turn human and watch him sleep or when the General would go take a shower or bath Blade would stare.

He indeed enjoyed being a crippled bird in the general's care.

Maybe that's why all the animals love him...because of his kindness, beauty, love, and care. Blade thought as he smiled to himself.
