"Steve! Steve!" I heard my mother shouting in front of my room. I can't open my eyes. It's Sunday morning and she still doesn't want me to sleep. "Are listening to me? I need some groceries dear! " she paused.

I wake up. Why does she need all of a sudden? There's nothing special today and it's Sunday, but she doesn't go to church for one year. I stood up from the mattress.

"Mom! It's Sunday". She still waits for me to finish. "Why do you want me to wake up early? Why did you need groceries suddenly "
She shook her head. Came ahead of me, and her hands were covered with oven gloves. I wonder what she's doing.

"I know that. But you don't know that today is my birthday " She looks sad now. " I have invited some friends of mine".
She stepped out of the room. I think I made her cry. Maybe?

I went to the kitchen next to her.
"Happiest birthday! To my most beautiful Mom," I hugged her and whispered "Sorry".

She tapped on my hands around her and wiped out her tears. Is she crying cause I forgot her birthday? I can't understand her sometimes, maybe I won't be able to. I took the lists she mentioned.

"For what these tears are? Mom". I asked her
"Your father isn't here. That's all! " she turned back to the pattie she was designing.

I didn't say a word to her and left. I can relate to her being unloved, but she doesn't deserve that. Everything seems fine but it's not, she shows herself as happy but isn't. I have done enough in my boyhood, Now I can't be involved in between them anymore.

Love is horrible in some cases, like my parents. However, the highest number of duos fell in love deeply, Their love is true and effective, and most stay together throughout their lives.
I purchased all the listed items and went to the grocery side. What things are she going to cook? She's a bad chief though. I never let her know about the foodstuffs she makes.

                      ....................

" Stop! " Someone spoke out.
I turned back to catch who it was. Daisy? She's standing on the next pathway. I hold up. Why did she call me? What she's doing here?

"My bag!" She looks weary. Like she had followed me so far. What bag she's talking about? I hadn't seen her since our last conversation.

"What bag?" I asked her. She looked at me like I had something important to her.
"

You took my bag. See!" I checked all the bags and found out hers. I hand over her bag.

"Sorry! I didn't know it was yours."

"It's okay! " She smiled.

I stay without speaking for a while. She glanced at my bags full of groceries and stuff.

"Do you cook?" She asked. Her voice is calm and sweet. That reminds me of the day we met and the rain.

"Nope, Actually today it's Mom's birthday so... She invited some of her friends"
"

Ohh! I see. Happy Birthday to her"

"Thanks".

Whenever she's around me, I feel something inside me that's untold and I want to talk with her longer. My heart doesn't beat like others, instead, I feel warmth and care.

" So, then bye! Have a wonderful celebration". She walked four steps from me.

"Daisy!" I called her.
"

uh! Yes," she turned around at me.

I went ahead beside her. "Can you help me with the bags, if you don't mind?" I just want to be around her, the bags are not heavy for me though. I want to walk with her, at least for a few minutes.

"Sure, Why not in that case I can pay back your help"

I smiled and handed over one of my bags to her. We walked slowly and in silence. The air feels so cool and the tree leaves are falling like raindrops but nothing bothers me without her. We won't talk but this Moment with her feels like everything.
