{Stepin carries Kerene's body through the snow and places her in a shallow grave. He covers her with a white shroud.}

{Moiraine places a lit candle on top of Kerene's shrouded body.}

[Moiraine] May the last embrace of the mother welcome you home.

{Lan and Moiraine stare at each other meaningfully, and Lan walks away.}

{One month later: The party of Aes Sedai ride through a forested landscape.}

{The top of the White Tower can be seen above the trees in the distance.}

[Lan] A long time since we've been home.

[Moiraine] Do you still think of it as home?

[Lan] Don't you?

[Moiraine] This saddle is home. This cloak. These boots. This brooding man at my side.

{Elena rides up beside them}

{Lan chuckles. They look at Nynaeve riding ahead of them.}

[Elena] Is she ready for what's waiting in the White City?

[Lan] You think she talks to me?

[Elena] She eats every night with both of us at the Warders' fire.

[Lan] She's worried, about Stepin. Warders are not supposed to outlive their Aes Sedai.

[Moiraine] Stepin's a strong man. He'll deliver her ring to the Tower.

[Elena] You think the other four are already there?

[Moiraine] If they are, we'll find them. And if they aren't... well, we'll find them.

{Rand gazes off into the distance.}

[Rand] That mountain.

[Mat] What?

[Rand] I don't know. I think I've seen it before.

{They walk up to a rocky overlook that has a view of Tar Valon.}

[Mat] Tar Valon.
