[Percy Pov]

I had hopes for this trip. Mr. Brunner was leading it which is great. I liked him, he always wanted me to do my best. I felt someone sit beside me on the bus, it was Grover. He was my crippled best friend.

"Have you seen Y/n, Grover?" I asked him as I was curious about our friend.

"Sitting with Nancy," Grover responded dismissively, as if that wasn't a big deal. I always wondered how he did it, she picks on us but not when hes around. She listens to him, respects him. I was jealous of that.

"Y/n being with her is for the best, she won't pick on us," Grover said while looking at me, as if he could read my mind.

"Yeah, maybe" I responded before going to sleep.

Mr. Brunner, our latin teacher, asked Y/n
to push his wheelchair as the rest of us followed them. The two of them led us through the museum tour. Passing 3000 year old artifacts, paintings, armor and weapons. It was very cool as Mr. Brunner would explain everything to those who cared. He moved on to talking about a statue but I was more concerned over my friend getting pelted by spitballs by Nancy. Ms. Dodds loved Nancy so she ignored it even though she saw it.

[Y/n's pov]

I was beside Chiron, or Mr. Brunner, as I saw Nancy being her usual charming self.

"I should go put a stop to that, its sad that hes 28 and that is his faith," I whispered to Chiron whose laugh quickly became a cough.

"Yes, it would be wise to stop it. After this trip you may return to camp, i'm sure you'd be tired of this by now," he told as he then wheeled to ecamine the statue closer.

I sigh as I walk over to Nancy, put my arm around her, lead her towards the fountain and start whispering into her ear.

"Nancy, Nancers. You know I don't like you doing that, so why?" I asked her with my voice laced with warmth.

"I'm sorry Y/n, I don't know why. To feel better about myself? Cause I have nothing better going for me?" Nancy whispered back at me.

"I wish I knew Y/n, I just want to I guess. Do you hate me?" Nancy asked softly

"Do I hate you? Nah, not in my nature. Just stop doing it, for me?" I asked as I saw Nancy eyes glaze over for a moment before she nodded meekly.

We had moved outside at this point as it was lunch time, Percy and Grover sat near the fountain while we were on the other side talking. Percy, still angry from earlier, pushed her into the water but not with his hands. It was like the water listened to him and pulled her into it but keeping me dry. I was in disbelief, if he was... nope, not the time brain. I helped Nancy out as Ms. Dodds came to see what had occured.
"Jackson pushed me!" Nancy shouted in anger, Percy looked shocked at the acusation but he did push her.

As Ms. Dodds took him off to punish him, I got a shiver down my spine which never means good things so I ran towards Chiron to tell him what is happening.

"Chiron, I think Percy is going to be attacked," I told him quickly, he then rushed off after I pointed him in the right direction.

I went back to Nancy and gave her my coat so she didn't have cold and wet clothes. She kissed my cheek and walked off, pretty happy with herself. Grover and I waited for Percy to walk out as we knew we had to lie to the kid now.

"Woo, Gaslighting Percy time" I muttered as he approached.

"I got attacked by Ms. Dodds, it was unreal" Percy told us as he sounded exausted.

"Who is Ms. Dodds?" Using my best Clarisse impression, hoping her stupidity was contagious.

"Attacked? What's that?" Grover dumbly stated. Somehow, Percy didn't question Grover on that. I felt like Annabeth, always surrounded by idiots, which just made me hate this conversation more.

"Ms. Dodds, the teacher who escorted us here? Sees no wrong in Nancy?," Percy asked getting annoyed at our attempts at a prank I reckon. Luckily i'm a good liar but Grover really isn't so heres hoping Percy has seaweed in his brain.

"Oh, you mean blondie over there?" I pointed at the teacher as I say that. "Don't think her name is Ms. Dodds though."

"There is no Ms. Dodds, Percy," Grover desperately said. Who would believe that? Only a complete idiot would believe his desperation. Oh, nevermind. We are good then.

After gaslighting our victim, we all went home. I went back to camp because I hated school. Not before I said goodbye to Nancy though, she gave me some stuff she stole from people. Kept my coat though.

As I entered camp, Annabeth bombarded me with questions. Most of which were asking why I was chosen and not her.
I responded with maturity, grace and dignity.

"Chase, maybe im his favourite? Or he didn't want to separate you from your darling Luke?" I said with an overdramatic tone.

Camp heard the giggles of a joyous Y/n being chased by Annabeth before they spotted him on Thalia's pine tree. Annabeth continued to shout greek curse words at him for hours. Many wondered what he did to her, Clarisse just shook her head with an amused smile as she watched her loser piss off wise girl. A proud glint in her eyes.
