A week later, I got in touch with him after everything I thought it was only suitable to know everything and just put our troubles to the side, I thought it was for the best knowing the situation that it both caused us.
He did agree to meet me, I walked into the restaurant and there he stood, I took a breath and walked over to him, the waiter came behind me and pulled out my seat, there he sat in front of me, his cold icy stare, intimidating. He's still the same person and that's what scares me deep down, I looked at him before I got to say something and he spoke "I didn't expect to hear from you,".
"First time for everything," I said pouring a glass of water, he kept that glare on me as I just watched his movement "Why did you ask me here, Raven?" he asked.
I took a sip of my water before having the courage to speak "I've been thinking about that day, what we both put each other through, especially myself. Whatever hate we have for each other, it needs to stop, we are hurting people and your little arrest almost got me killed," I said with a stare.
He didn't say a word before he leaned back in the seat "I'm surprised Elliott didn't inform you about something," he said as I looked at him confused "What do you mean?" I asked.
"The case, it's over with," he said motioning the waiter to fill up our drinks.
I just looked at him "So you caved in easily, why?" I asked him generally confused.
"After the whole situation went like hellfire, I put you and civilians in danger, especially when your little friend ended up killing a Cop but then I realised you had help until the crash, I felt sick for you, I thought I hurt you and I thought you died that day," he expressed.
I looked at him, and seeing him caring about me really did shock me, as I looked at him wanting to tease a little "Are you falling for me, Flores?" I asked, taking a sip of the white wine.
He didn't say anything for a minute before speaking "No I'm not," he said with a serious face.
"Alright just checking," I said with a smirk.
- Flores POV -
I kept checking her out without really letting it on, I watched her movements discreetly, I wasn't falling for her, I wouldn't dare to, she's a Raven. People who fall for that family will end up being dead, I've been working as an Agent for over 7 years now and I have read cases where husbands will kill their wives just for business, my world and her world are totally different but why was I overthinking everything?
Eventually, we had a peaceful dinner, where I got to know Alessia more, she was sweet, she was a family girl, and she talked about her siblings like I was a normal guy, something opened up to me that day, something knowing that Alessia isn't half that bad.
We walked out of the restaurant, I had a cigarette in my mouth resting between my lips, and she stood beside me watching the sky, my gaze was focused on the dry, concrete pavement in front of the restaurant. I took a drag of my Marlboro cigarette and exhaled after a few moments, slightly watching as the cloud of smoke wafted away. I looked up at the night sky, Alessia and I were both silent. The flickering streetlamps that had been due for maintenance years ago.
"It was a lovely dinner," I spoke and she replied, "It was,".
"Maybe we should do it again," I said.
She nodded "Maybe," as she started to walk away.
- Alessia's POV -
I walked back to my car, I could feel him watching my movements until I reached my car. I tilted my head as I saw him just watching the night sky, I threw my cigarette to the ground before stepping on it, I took out my phone and decided to send a text; 'The dinner was lovely, see you -A,' I sent that to him.
I saw him take out his phone and look at it, and a slight smile appeared on his face, I got into the car and drove towards my family home.

Finally, I got home and walked inside to see my Dad watching me "In here," he said with a stern tone, I exhaled and walked inside "Sit down," he said. I walked over to the kitchen chair and sat down as he leaned against the counter and crossed his arms, he looked at me as he was trying to think what to say, and suddenly he just said "Who's side are you on?"
I glanced up at him and I gulped "What do you mean?"
"I got a call from a worker, he was out with his wife in the restaurant called 'Moonstars' and he saw you with that Agent, and now Alessia tell me what are your intentions," he raised his eyebrow.
"I called Flores to have dinner, nothing more. I wanted to put the past behind us and just move on before someone got hurt, the actions that happened to me were because of me Dad, not him, I shouldn't have run, I shouldn't have let that woman go," I said.
"What woman?" he questioned me.
"I killed the man who raped me, and his wife and kids witnessed the screams, I couldn't have the courage to kill the wife so I bribed her with money so she can restart her life and move on but it looks like she took the money and months later she ratted on me," I admitted.
He exhaled putting his hands on his face "Alessia, why?"
"Why what?" I looked at him.
"Why didn't you come to me or Daniel? We are here to help one other," he explained.
"I asked Daniel for the location," I said.
"Don't be a smart-ass," he gave me that dad look.
"Look, Dad, I will fix it. I promise," I recalled.
