POV: YejiThe icy vapors nipped at my face as I breathed heavily, my grip tightening on the object in my hand. I found myself staring at it blankly, lost in thought.
Who were my parents?
As I grew older, I visited the orphanage every year to see my old friends and Miss Jung. I hoped she would finally reveal the truth to me, but she always responded with the same cryptic answer.
"That's for you to find out."
Her words left me puzzled, wondering why she kept me in the dark. It didn't feel like her response was helping me find them.
But for now, all I could do was wonder and hope.
Maybe one day, they would come looking for me, whisking me away to safety just like before. I longed to experience their love and care once more.
I yearned for my parents, more than anything.
As I watched other orphans find loving homes, I couldn't help but feel joy for them. But deep down, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was always left behind.
It seemed like no one really wanted me.
Ever since the incident, I had no memory of my parents or any knowledge about them. It made it difficult for me to connect with others and make friends. But as fragments of my memory started to resurface, scenes flashed through my mind, intensifying my curiosity.
I could still see the woman's eyes, filled with worry and fear, as she glanced down at me with a forced smile.
A shiver ran down my spine as I pondered what awaited me around the corner, the sound of shuffling catching my attention.
"Meow."
Huh?
"Meow Meow Meowwww."
The little grey creature purred at me, its tail swaying gently, as if it held a secret of its own.
"Meow"
Huh?
"Meow Meow Meowwww"
The little grey creature purred at me, its tail brushing against my legs, and it looked up at me with its beautiful orange-like eyes."Aww, hi there, baby!" I bent down and let it sniff my hand to see if it was comfortable with me petting it. As I rubbed its fur, it fluffed up in contentment.
"Oh, dang... maybe it's a stray," I glanced around, checking if anyone was nearby, before focusing my attention on the adorable kitty right in front of me. I noticed it had a tag that read "Kat?" It perked its ears when I called out its name, looking at me, but it seemed unusually quiet.
And then it hit me...
"Oh, you poor thing."
The cat, or rather "Kat," had something stuck in its leg, and I could see dried blood on its paw.
"Let me take you to my home." Without hesitation, I gently scooped up the kitten and cradled it in my arms as it continued to purr.

The boys arrived at the establishment, sweating profusely as they speed-walked towards the doors, causing the guards to bow down.
"Hyung, come onnnn, at least let me get a piece of cake," Huening whined, eyeing the glorious white berry cake sitting in the cafe.
"Kai, do you realize that can wait?" Soobin mumbled, pressing the elevator button as the rest of them entered.
"We just found out the Hwangs had a daughter," Yeonjun stated blankly.
