Officer Kennedy.
"Leon, this is too personal for you to handle," Officer Branagh said, releasing his grip on Leon's shoulder.
Leon was freaking out and stressed.
He knew the woman he suspected of putting his brother in the hospital was sitting in the interrogation room, refusing to talk. She was scared that the police would twist her words, and she had no alibi to prove her innocence.(Y/N) took a sip of water, trying to calm down. It had only been five hours since the incident, and she had been crying for eight minutes straight.
She didn't know what to do or who to turn to. Alicia was her only support system.
Her mother had passed away when she was seventeen, and she had been avoiding dealing with the loss. But when she turned nineteen, it hit her hard.
Her father was always busy with his cars, providing for his other family.(Y/N) loved her stepmother and sisters, but she felt like a burden at times.
While, Alicia was her rock, her hero, her mother figure. They only needed each other.(Y/N) was lost in her thoughts when another officer walked in.
He had dirty blonde hair parted in the middle, covering his right eye.
His icy blue eyes scanned her, and his eyebrows furrowed in frustration.
He sat down in front of her and introduced himself as Officer Kennedy.
"I didn't do anything!" (Y/N) pleaded, not knowing his role in the case.
"He was bleeding, I didn't-" But Officer Kennedy's harsh gaze silenced her."He's in a coma now," he said, and (Y/N) sighed.
(Y/n) let out a sigh of relief, relieved to know that Robin was safe.
"But they're uncertain about his chances of survival. If he doesn't make it by tomorrow, I promise - you'll be locked up for the rest of your miserable existence," he leaned in closer, "and if that requires me to falsely incriminate you, I damn well will."
She gulped nervously, his intense stare exuded seriousness, while she remained innocent.
And why did it affect him so deeply? What compelled him to utter such nonsense?
She would rather die than end up in a cell with a toilet in plain sight, exposing her to everyone passing by.
Before Leon could utter another word, the door swung open abruptly, revealing Alicia in a devastated state.
"Babe, I rushed here as soon as I saw your message," she said, not even acknowledging Leon as she quickly embraced (y/n).
"It's time for you to go home," Leon stated. "But be prepared for a call sooner or later."
He swiftly got up from his chair and left the room. The tension from earlier still lingered in the air.
(y/n) couldn't relax, unable to even take a breath. What had caused all of this? Why was Robin walking around with an untreated wound? Was he involved in something dangerous?
"It'll be alright, (y/n)," she hadn't yet informed Alicia about the threat she had received. The last thing she wanted was for her friend to get involved.
"I'm sorry for pushing you to dance with him - if I had known he had an untreated wound like that, I would have advised him to get some damn help," she exhaled, handing (y/n) a bottle of whiskey.
"If I end up behind bars, please take care of Hiro for me," she pleaded, referring to the black cat sleeping on the couch.
"Relax, he'll join you in jail - alongside me," (y/n) laughed. Alicia's jokes never failed to lift her spirits."But seriously, if he manages to survive that hospital stay, I'll definitely ensure he ends up back in there."
Alicia takes a sip from her bottle, cringing at the taste."I absolutely despise whiskey," Alicia says as she sits down, crossing her long legs.
"Officer Kennedy is quite the sight to behold, isn't he?" She winks, remembering the same officer who had just threatened to ruin her life.
"Yeah, he's so attractive," I might even consider committing a premeditated murder.
"He would totally do it for me. I bet he's pa-"
(y/n) interrupts her, saying, "Please, don't finish that sentence.""Leon, go home already." One of the hospital staff had been badgering him for the past three hours to leave.
Visiting hours had ended just minutes after he arrived. He watched his brother, lying in the hospital bed, his weak heartbeat echoing in the room.
Had she stabbed him? And who would do such a thing at a club? She's just an amateur.
He wasn't ready to step out of the room, fearing that the moment he did, his brother would pass away. Anxiety was building up inside him.
"Just a little longer, please," the older man had given up on trying to convince him to leave.
"I want you out of here within two hours, at least." Leon simply nodded in response, his hands tightly clasped together as he gazed at Robin, who appeared peaceful.
"I'll bring her down, I'll make sure she faces the consequences." Leon only had Robin, as his parents had passed away a long time ago.
He had never found success in his love life either, as Ada had left him a while back.
Ada used to be his everything. They would go on missions together, the perfect team. He loved her deeply, giving his all to support her success. He remembered the last time he saw her, holding the engagement ring box in his hand. He was only 24 at the time, but he knew what he wanted. He wanted Ada, and with Robin's approval, he was determined to make her his fiancée.
Until Ada canceled their dinner, only to sleep with his best friend, Luis.
He groans as he recalls the memories, the weight of them heavy on his mind.
Robin, only 22, had so much life ahead of him. "Damn it, Robin," he mutters under his breath.
Leaving the hospital room, he clutches his uniform jacket in one hand and his bag in the other. The only thing waiting for him at home were work papers scattered across his dinner table.
"Looks like I'll have to hit up a damn takeout joint," he grumbles, feeling frustrated and anxious. How could he even think about relaxing at a time like this?
His mind drifts back to earlier, when he had threatened (y/n).
"Did I go too far?" he asks himself before shaking it off.
"No, she deserved it." Despite her innocent appearance in her dress and beautiful hair, not to mention her eyes, he couldn't deny the attraction he felt.
But it was buried under a mountain of resentment.
