This chapter was a bit rushed, my apologies guys.

Leon sat in the car, his presence accompanied by Luis

Leon sat in the car, his presence accompanied by Luis. Normally, this wouldn't bother him much. They would usually share a laugh or two. But ever since Luis had betrayed him, not only by sleeping with his lover at the time, but also by betraying their friendship, things had changed.

They found themselves in a situation where they were forced to work together on a case. The tension between them was palpable. Leon had no desire to collaborate with Luis. If given the choice, he would much rather work with Chuck, his frenemy, or at least that's what they called themselves.

"Leon, can we talk?" Luis broke the silence, but Leon had no interest in engaging. "There's nothing to talk about," he replied, silencing Luis. After a few seconds, Luis groaned and shifted in his seat. "Fuck, listen..." he began.

"You knew I had feelings for Ada when you got involved with her. And I genuinely cherished our friendship, believe me," Luis pleaded. But Leon had no intention of hearing him out. Their friendship had clearly been destroyed by lust and desire, not for each other, but for Ada.

"So you got her pregnant and thought to yourself, 'It's alright, Leon will understand. After all, I liked Ada first'?" Leon's words cut through the air, causing Luis to fall silent.

"No way, absolutely not!" Luis exclaimed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "So, me and Ada were paired up for this case, and she actually asked me out for a drink or two... I knew you had a fancy dinner planned, all set for your big proposal. So, I figured that had to be my last chance to spend some quality time with her..."

Luis's words only made the situation worse. Leon clenched his jaw, unable to bear listening to it. After all, Leon never got any closure, and his feelings were all over the place. Especially now that (y/n) had gotten involved.

His mind wandered away from Luis, consumed by thoughts of (y/n) and how he would have locked her up temporarily, knowing she had to appear in court in a few hours.

"Look, I really hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. I just want our friendship back," Luis pleaded, snapping Leon back to reality.

"No, it won't be the same, but I'll consider it," Leon replied, his focus returning. He shifted the car into drive, eager to put an end to this case.

As they drove in silence for a few minutes, Luis couldn't help but chuckle. "You don't arrest drug dealers every day, huh?" he remarked, trying to break the tension. Leon rolled his eyes, clearly yearning for the peace and quiet.

"For once, can you just shut the hell up?" Leon snapped, giving Luis a sidelong glance. "I'm guessing you want me to pull over so you can have a smoke?" he added. Luis nodded, a smile playing on his lips. He had hoped that this car ride might work wonders for their shattered friendship.

The words echoed in her mind, "sentencing you to 8 years in prison." She couldn't believe it. Robin was still in a coma, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. How could this be happening?

She regretted going out that night, regretted dancing with Robin. "he better be alive, to tell them the truth," she muttered under her breath, her hands shaking with anxiety.

Leon stood beside her, but he wasn't celebrating like she thought he would. His face was blank, his hands clasped together tightly. Watching as she was escorted out to the police car.

Something felt wrong, and Leon couldn't shake the feeling. He had gotten what he wanted, but it didn't feel like a victory. He wished Robin would wake up so they could figure out what really happened.

But he was convinced that (y/n) was to blame. Or was it just easier to have someone to blame?

As (y/n) was escorted away, her silent sobs filled the air. How could this have happened? Who was behind it all?

"That fucking witness," she muttered to herself. Were they even a real witness, or were they just spreading lies? Had they been bribed, or were they just looking for someone to blame?

As she was dragged out of the car, she couldn't help but feel like a criminal. But she knew deep down that she was innocent.

As she sat in her cell, (y/n) couldn't help but think back to the outburst she had in the courtroom

As she sat in her cell, (y/n) couldn't help but think back to the outburst she had in the courtroom. "This is complete bullshit! I didn't do anything! He got attacked by some weird gang, not me!" she had yelled at the judge.

She was angry, but also sad. Sometimes she felt numb about the whole situation, but now she was just trying to figure out how she was going to survive. She was so young, and she couldn't bear the thought of spending most of her life in prison. She missed her job and her friends.

While, Leon was in the nurse's room, talking to Claire. "She's such a sweet girl. She didn't deserve this," Claire said. She knew what (y/n) had been accused of, but something about it didn't sit right with her.

Claire had been observing (y/n)'s behavior and had noticed that she couldn't even kill a spider in her cell. How could she harm someone and feel good about it? Why would she risk going to prison for that? She hadn't even managed to finish the job and take his life.

"She did deserve it. She harmed my brother. How can you say that?" Leon asked, securing his belt before leaving the room. "Leon, I know you're scared for your brother, but take a good look at that girl. Does she really seem like someone who would hurt your brother out of free will?" Claire said before Leon slammed the door.

But what if Claire was right? Leon shook the thought away and got ready to go outside to guard the yard. He only guarded the prisoners because of her. He wanted to observe (y/n)'s every move, hoping to find out her motive or if she actually did it...

He continued his way to the yard,

Leon knew the things he did were despicable, like bribing a woman just to ensure that she ended up in jail.

Recalling the testimony of the witness, "I saw her in the corner - at first they were clawing at each other, touching each other everywhere... the usual. They went outside for a smoke, then all of a sudden it turned into such a bloody mess, her... she attacked him all of a sudden! Stabbing him, she didn't do it more than once. After all, she was caught! And he just lay there..."

She was a skilled liar, but as always, something was amiss. Leon had briefed her on every detail for it to be convincing.

His brother had only one stab wound.

He spotted her again. She was alone in the corner, picking at the grass. It was a pitiful sight.

"Maybe I needed someone to blame," he whispered to himself, but he couldn't let himself be fooled by her innocent appearance.

For unknown reasons he could feel that his heart raced at the sight of her eyes gazing towards him, while he was only affected by her cleavage which was more than visible.

how could they allow prisoners to wear such revealing clothing? Fuck.

He felt an unusual tingling sensation below, triggered by her irresistible presence that reminded him of the time he indulged in shameful thoughts of her.

"You always complicate things for me" he groaned.

"that fucking woman," he muttered to himself, unsure of how to handle these emotions.
