3rd POV

More than four months have passed since they made a contract. Vivian, who initially thought making this contract with Rui might not be a bad idea, turned out to be right.

But unlike Vivian, who liked it, Rui didn't feel the same way.

Months after they spent a night in a cave, they moved around to different places. Eventually, they found a quiet spot to stay during their contract. One of them saw their relationship as just "business partners" living together temporarily.

Their new home was on top of a hill, surrounded by tall, colorful mushrooms and trees. It was a small cabin with a two-story stone tower. Vivian quickly created the house with magic. She used the tower for her work on the first floor, and her bedroom was on the top floor.

When Rui returned home after hunting, he was surprised. His eyes widened, and then he frowned when he saw the usual mess inside the tiny cabin. There were books, papers, and herbs piled up.

He had a large black boar on his shoulder, and he dropped it on the front porch before walking into the messy house.

His neck veins slightly bulged as irritation welled up within him. He remembered how he had cleaned the house thoroughly before his hunting trip. But now, right in front of him, it looked like someone had messed it up again. All his hard work of wiping and picking up even the tiniest specks of dust had disappeared.

The one responsible for this mess was none other than Vivian, the female witch who had completely messed up and scattered her things around the house once more. What made it worse was that the once shiny-clean kitchen was now covered in icky stains and spills. The living room had her clothes and panties scattered around like a hurricane had torn through it.

"VIVIAN!" Rui shouted out to her.

But the messy culprit didn't respond. The door to the tower, leading to her office, remained shut. Rui frowned, looking at the wooden door behind which Vivian hid.

"What should I do with such a messy person?" he mumbled, sighing. His earlier frown transformed into a soft expression, and Rui even managed a smile, letting out a light chuckle. This had become their daily life, and he had grown accustomed to it. Over the last four months, they had created many fond memories together. Despite their opposite personalities, they had quickly formed a strong bond.

Living with Vivian had taught Rui many things along the way. Thanks to her guidance, he had earned his fourth mark and could now use his skills efficiently with little effort.

"She's probably still not coming out; she must have stayed up all night," Rui thought as he began picking up the scattered fur clothing in the living room.

Little did he know, he had volunteered for this without realizing it.

In the beast world, it was normal for a male orc like him to do these tasks because she was a female. Most males did whatever it took to make females happy. Riven wasn't surprised at all that he was doing basic chores. Instead of lounging around at home, he actually enjoyed doing chores. As a beastman, Riven liked having work to do throughout the day.

(SOME TIME PASSED)

It took an hour to finish cleaning the entire house. He neatly organized the scattered items back to where they belonged. Rui used his hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead.

After that, his stomach growled. He hadn't eaten since morning. Rui went to the boar on the porch, dragged it inside, and began preparing it. He skinned the fur, cleaned out the organs in the sink, and with a swift motion, he tore apart the boar's leg. The bones cracked, and blood dripped onto the wooden floor. Rui held the boar's leg like it was a chicken drumstick and devoured it with his sharp teeth.
