"alright these are the different flavors and samples for the cake...and later we can discuss the cake design...." one of the companies employees said.
i carried xylah on my arms since she fell asleep in the car on the way over, she had her noise canceling headphones on so she'd probably be knocked for while.
"hmmm bae try it." matiyah said holding up a piece to me.
i ate the piece she fed to me before balling my face up,"the fuck is that?" i asked as i forced myself to swallow it.
matiyah laughed before speaking,"chai tea latte."
i shook my head as i looked at other samples,"lemme try the pink velvet." i said and she fed it to me.
"mmm...it's not too bad..let's still keep trying some more." i said and she nodded.
we tried different examples,"i really think we might end up doing like regular vanilla but like the layers and frosting gonna be unique....anddd have cupcakes along with it." i said as i wrote it down on the form the employee gave us.
"y- hollon..." matiyah quickly said walking towards the bathroom.
i looked confused at how fast she left but i waited for her to come out and adjusted xylah that was still in my arms,"yo ass getting too big..." i mumbled.
my arms were falling asleep,"we needa go home- sumn had to be in the cakes cause i just threw all that up..." matiyah said and i nodded.
"we can, you okay?"
"yeah i'm sure i'm good...stop by mcdonald's before we go home, imma get her a happy meal and myself a smoothie." she said and grabbed xylah from my arms.
we left the place and she buckled xylah up in her car seat while i got in the drivers seat, once matiyah was in and buckled up i started driving towards mcdonald's.
"go park at curbside i already ordered..." matiyah said and i looked over at her as i went to park.
"baby- you hot?" i asked noticing she was sweating...the ac was on full blast.
"yeah i'm good tho, i think i just needa take a nap.." she said and i eyed her.
"baby you sweating in ac?? and you threw up all that cake...." i trailed off and she shrugged leaning back into the seat and closed her eyes.
our food was brought to the car, i handed the stuff to her and smiled seeing she also got me food.
"baby i didn't need anything.." i said and she shrugged.
"you know i always get you sumn."

i played the game while matiyah was layin down in my arms fast asleep, i had my head seat on and focused on trying to not die.
