Joanne's pov
It's been about two weeks since the first rehearsal and I knew straight away who Y/N was as she was my crush during strictly. I heard her and Kevin still talk a lot so I managed to get two tickets for her last show for newsies so me and Kevin can go see her and Imogen and Rory. I was surprised when I heard that Y/N was in newsies because of the amount of times I had watched it before meeting anyone in it and now I'm working with my long time crush who is the fiona cover / little red riding hood. I'm getting ready to leave the house and Kevin is shouting at me as I'm taking too long apparently and he wants to get there pronto as we have seats in the stalls which is the best seats I believe anyway, "Jo hurry up or I'm leaving without you" Kevin shouted at me "I'm on my way down stop worrying Kev we will be fine it's only 5 minutes away" I shouted back.
I ran down the stairs to get my keys and a handbag and then I heard Kevin say " umm Jo are you forgetting something" pointing to my feet and then I realised what he was talking about "don't worry they're by the door and I will put them on in the car" "OK but hurry up I want to get there early" Kevin said to me "OK bossy boots I'm ready let's go"
Y/N pov
I was talking with Imogen while getting ready when Rory said " you girls one of you will be going on for Katherine as the person playing Katherine is sick today also we have friends watching tonight" he then brought us into a group hug. Imogen and I have a moment when we realised Rory didn't tell us who was on for Katherine so I went " wait Ro who is going on for Katherine?" he then realised "well I don't know but the director wants you two decide" and straight away Imogen said "N/N I know you won't like this but you go on as Katherine as you haven't had the chance to and anyway I'm on for hannah today so you go out and shine"
"Imi you know I would fight back so why should I go on for Katherine it's like you guys know something I don't" I replied, but Imi wouldn't give up so I had to give in so we wouldn't be late for warm-up "OK fine I will go on for her but can you help me get ready Imi it's gonna be emotional as its the last run"
I was ready to go on with 5 minutes to spare so I look through the curtains quickly and then saw Joanne sitting in the second row with Kevin and for some reason my energy increase by a lot
