"YOU HID IT ?!" Dazai almost screamed, now back on his feet. "YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THAT DOCUMENT IS TO THE MAFIA ?!"Chuya winced. He was stood with his back turned to Dazai. Unable to look him in the eyes. Dazai had no idea why Chuya hid the document or why he couldn't tell Dazai where it was. His only response was to try and change the subject.
"It wouldn't matter anyway." He said, fixing his hat. "The less people who know of it, the better."
"BETTER ?!" Dazai for once, was speechless.
"Look. Do you really believe that Mori's gone ?"
"It was all over the news.!" Dazai protested yet he himself had already come to terms with the truth.
"Then you're an idiot." Chuya turned to look at him. "You're an idiot who's forgotten everything about the Mafia." He couldn't believe that in that moment, he was looking at the same man from four years ago. He looked healthier, better. Almost alive. As though he really had managed to escape his past self. Like it was possible to rid yourself of your past. It pissed Chuya off. It pissed him off how easily this man could move on.
"I don't think he's dead. For now." Dazai sighed, revealing his thoughts. "But I have a feeling he isn't going to stay alive for much longer." Chuya looked up at him. His bandages were still falling at the bottom of his neck, revealing the marks Chuya had left moments ago. He tried to ignore them. Instead of fixing the ones on his neck, Dazai began re-tying the ones on his wrists. He muttered to himself as he tried to tie them, watching them come lose once more.
A wave of nostalgia washed over Chuya as he watched the scene play out. Playing into the memory, Chuya moved closer to him, taking a hold of his arm. "Tell me what we can do then." Chuya hissed, wrapping the bandages more gently then Dazai had. "Your always the man with the plan."
Dazai must've been thinking of something as he fell silent. The whole time however, Chuya felt Dazai looking at him. As though it was a task he did all the time, Chuya tied of the bandage and tucked it away, making them look brand new on Dazai's arm. It was even better then what Dazai had tried to replica moments ago.
"You still remember how to do that ?" It sounded as though he was amazed.
"I dunno. It's just stayed with me. Besides I do get scars myself you know - It helps to know how to tie bandages." Chuya shrugged it off, as though it wouldn't bother him. Dazai let out a small huff. Like he didn't buy the excuse for the moment but it was logical enough to not argue against.
"I suggest we go looking for clues on how to find Mori." Dazai finally suggested. "If we can confirm that he's alive - you'll have no need to be the boss anymore. But if we confirm he's dead -" He stopped talking and looked down at Chuya. To get his attention, he took hold of his jaw again, forcing it to face him in return. "You have to give me the will your hiding in the right pocket of your jacket." Chuya froze up. Dazai Grinned from ear to ear. He let go of Chuya (that that it made any difference, the ginger was still froze in place) and walked away from him, making his way to the staircase.
"HOW THE FUCK ?!" He shouted, following the direction Dazai went in. "And where do you think you're going ?!" Hastily, Chuya walked up the staircase behind Dazai, who at this point, wasn't listening to him anymore.
The duo made their way up onto the main floor without being questioned by anyone. Dazai guessed it was due to the fact everyone knew of Chuya's promotion to boss, Which he didn't like either. The rare person who questioned them was mainly to hear why Chuya was in the Bosses scarf. Chuya would just tell them he was covering whilst the boss was recovering from an illness. The less specifics he gave them, the safer everything would be. That's what Dazai said to do anyway. As they got onto more floors, more people started to recognise Dazai and how he was walking freely down the hallways. Chuya would also, shut those people up too. They rounded a corner as some point, turning into the hallway before Chuya stopped in his tracks.
