As predicted, the boys and Sae-mi were subjected to a firm reminder that as far as scandals went, BTS had the worst of them and any one of their opposition would rejoice in lathering that news across every Korean media platform. It didn't matter that BigHit was a supportive open space, nor that a large portion of fans would not protest - it only took one major corporation to boycott them for being 'different' and it could implicate the support they needed for their upcoming projects.
"I know it's horrible. I know we'd all love to be open and out and dating whoever without consequence. But we are at an incredibly vital point of your careers and I don't want to see you all suffer the sake of societal ignorance." This, the seven of them agreed with their Manager on. Better to reach the top and prove everyone wrong if they could, than be slandered by bias.
Yoongi instantly felt incredibly privledged to be able to feel that he could make such a decision. He knew many who, for the sake of their lives and their health, had to come out and break away from damaging environments in order to find support, but at the expense of being brutally judged.
"You need to be careful." Manager Sejin insisted, glancing in turn at Yoongi, Hoseok, Taehyung and Sae-mi. He had expected perhaps to be having this conversation with Sae-mi and Hoseok - if history was to have a say in anything - so he was a little curious as to how Yoongi and Taehyung had ended up in front of him. "I told Sae-mi when she started working again with us: you understand why I don't want the staff knowing that you boys and Sae-mi know each other on a very personal level?"
"Yes Manager-nim." All three music artists responded. Although, whether he was reading into nothing or not, Hoseok was certain he had seen a bit more discomfort in Taehyung's response.
Was it possible that Taehyung and Sae-mi had something going on?"I'm not going to tell you to stop Friday movie nights, delete each other's phone numbers or pretend to be strangers in your private lives." Their manager could not help but smile at the collective sigh of relief from all four occupants of the room.
"Maybe you can ask Jikook for some acting lessons on how to pretend to be professional colleagues rather than boyfriends." He concluded.
"No offense to my brothers, but Jikook do not come across as professional colleagues in the slightest," Yoongi piped up, smirking, "None of us do."
"Yes..." The manager of BTS reluctantly agreed, sighing in desperation, "Unfortunately at the expense of my stress levels."

Following the brief, yet stern reminder from their manager, Yoongi unapologetically dragged Hoseok out of the office. Not giving a single word to a confused Taehyung and Sae-mi, the two love-birds stumbled into Genius Lab."I need Hobi cuddles." He grumbled, seating himself on the office chair and forcing the younger to seat himself on his lap, legs wrapped tightly around Yoongi's thighs in a warm koala hug.
After a moment, Hoseok nestled himself comfortably into his best friend's chest and listened to the soft hums emitted while the rapper resumed his editing work.
"How is the song going?" The younger asked, referring to the song the two of them had been working on. The last time they'd worked on it was when he'd thrown up... Hoseok had been so sure Yoongi was going to kick him off the song writing team, however illogical that fear sounded.
"Epic." Came the hummed reply, followed by a few taps on his keyboard, "Your suggestion about the bridge was amazing."
"I thought yours was pretty cool too."
