Chapter 10: The Bad Morning

My dad was scary when he was furious. 

Before I could say anything he lunged at Ben. I screamed because I thought that my dad was going to kill him. 

Ben was now in wolf form and fighting back. 

"Daddy stop! I'm his mate!" I yelled hoping he would hear me. He did and he stopped. 

He turned and left the room coming back a few minutes later in his human form and fully clothed. "I'm sorry for making a scene." He said still glaring at Ben. 

"So the two packs will now be combined?" My mom asked. My dad nodded his head. 

I remember I had some of Ben's cloths so I lead him to my room. He transformed as I turned around. 

"I'm sorry that you had to see that Sky." He said sympathetically. 

"It's okay, honestly." I said trembling slightly still. 

I tossed him his cloths and he got dressed. He wore a white shirt, dark pants, his red varsity jacket, and his sneakers.

We went back downstairs to my parents again. 

My dad gave Ben the death glare as we walked out the front door.

 We got into my jeep and headed to school. I had one person at school that would kill me, but I had to tell Melissa. 

We got to school and Ben grabbed my hand. I went to the cafeteria, where we all meet up before it came time for class. Everyone was just sitting at our usual table talking. 

Melissa saw us and smiled. "Before you say anything yes we are dating." I said as  she squealed.

 "Congrats! I knew he would tell you about being mates!" She whispered hugging me. 

"Yeah yeah. But I really need to talk to you in private." I said in a more serious tone. We went to the girls bathroom and made sure no one was in there before I started talking. 

"Well what do you need to talk about?" She questioned. 

"I'm pregnant." I whispered looking down. I peered up and saw her wide eyes. 

She let out a low growl. "How could he do this to you!" She said now angry. 

"Melissa calm down please." I asked putting my hand on her shoulders. "Did you not see what my dad did to Ben? Those scratched on his face? He already attacked him this morning. It was scary Mel. I don't need to relive that again." I said. With that she calmed down. 

"I just can't believe you're pregnant." She said now filled with shock. The bell rang and we left the bathroom.

I sat next to Ben all day, in every single class. I couldn't help but notice him looking at me often. I just smiled and did my work. 

It was about lunch time and I was starving. I got my lunch and weaved my way through the cafeteria to my table. 

Ben, Melissa, and Lesley were already seated there. I sat down, Melissa and Ben smiled at me. 

"Are we telling my parents after school?" Ben asked. 

"Yeah like I said the sooner the better." I said. 

"I'm lost what's going on?" Lesley asked. My face dropped, only Melissa, Ben, and my parents know. 

"Um we'll tell you later." I said. 

He nodded and we continued to eat our lunch. 

The rest of the day flew by fast and soon me and Ben were in my car headed to his house.

 We went down the familiar dirt road and his house came into view. We got out and walked hand in hand inside.

We walked into the kitchen where his mother was sitting reading a book. She noticed us and her face lit up. 

"You told her?" She asked. Ben nodded and her smile got bigger, if that was was possible. 

"But mom we've got to tell you something." He said. Her smile disappeared because of his tone. 

"Mom, Sky is pregnant." He said looking her straight in the eyes. As he said that his sister walked into the room. Perfect timing! Not. Her eyes got wide as her mind processed what he had said. 

"Is it your baby?" His sister asked. 

"Oh course it is!" He said kinda mad. They both sighed in relief. 

"I'm still not happy that you two we so poorly minded to not use protection, but I'm relieved that the baby is his." She got up and hugged us. 

Once they left I looked at him.

"They took that better than I expected." I said surprisingly shocked. 

"Yeah I know. At least no one attacked me this time." He said poking my side reminding me of this morning. 

"To be honest that was a little scary." I said. 

"But I'm okay." He said wrapping his arms around my waist with his hands protectively around my stomach. I smiled at his actions. 

"Are you ready to be a daddy?" I asked him. 

"I'm not ready but I've got months to prepare myself." He said. 

I giggled at his remark. "Sky, since we're mates you do know that I'm going to have to mark you, right?" He said. 

"Yeah I know. Will it hurt?" I asked. 

"Most likely." He said. 

"I've got a few more questions so bare with me." I said. He nodded so I continued. "What happens after you mark me?" I asked. 

"Well some of my DNA will be inside you, so you will turn into a wolf." He said. 

"So when do mates mark?" I asked. 

"When ever they feel comfortable." He said.

"So what if you mark me with the baby still inside and I turn, will it hurt the baby?" I asked. 

"Not at all." He said. 

"So when do you plan on marking me?" I asked. 

"When ever your ready." He said. 

I looked at him "Ben I'm ready when you are." I said he smiled and brought me upstairs. 

He laid me down and climbed on top of me. He kissed my neck trying to find a spot for the mark. He settled on a spot right in front of my left shoulder. He started sucking on it and then he bit down. I yelped in pain as he just kept biting deeper.
