Chapter 18: The Big Question

"Stay here," he said creeping out of bed and disappearing from the room. I heard someone talking softly then Luke yelled "Sky it's okay. It's just Thomas and Allen," he shouted. 

I put some panties and pajama shorts on and slowly walked out of the room. When I walked into the kitchen I only saw one guy. 

"I thought you said both of your friends were here," I asked confused. 

"Turn around," I heard a strange raspy voice behind me. I turned and nobody was there but my shadow. I turned back around to Luke with a puzzled look on my face.

"woah, look at that stomach of yours," his friend Allen said. "You do this to her?" He asked Luke. 

"Yes, I did," he said obviously pissed at his friends words. 

"Are we being completely absent minded that someone was just behind me then disappeared," I said. 

They both chuckled "turn back around Sky," Allen said. I gave him a strange look and slowly turned around. 

I was surprised at the absence of my shadow. "Where did it go?" I asked pointing to the place where it just was. 

"That was Thomas, not your shadow," Luke said. 

"So he's some sort of shadow creature?" I asked. 

"That's exactly what I am," he replied his shadow appearing on the wall beside me. 

"So what are you then?" I asked Allen. 

"I'm a genie," he said. I couldn't help but giggle.

 "Is there a problem with that?" He said. 

"No, not at all. I just got a mental picture of you wearing the tiny genie outfits," I said giggling again. 

Suddenly Thomas popped off the wall in human form "so what are you?" He asked gesturing to me. 

I turned into a wolf and looked at them 'ta da,' my voice appeared in all of their heads. 

"Won't that hurt the belly bump?" Allen asked. 

"No it won't hurt them." Luke said covering him mouth realizing he said them. 

"Wait, what? Them? Luke you know that's bad right?" Thomas said. 

"What do you mean?" He asked looking frightened. 

"There's two, meaning they could possibly tear her apart from the inside," Thomas said. 

I trotted to mine and Luke's room and changed into a human and got some cloths on. 

Luke followed me into our room looking as pale as a ghost. "I did this to you," he said staring off into nothing ness. 

"Hey look at me. Ill be fine, you're not gunna lose me," I said getting his focus on me. 

"Wait you said you're friends were on a hunt, what did that mean?" I asked puzzled. 

"Allen searches for people to trick into getting wishes and Thomas obtains shadows of lost souls," I laid down on our bed on my back, watching the ceiling. 

Luke laid next to me on his side "you know you're really beautiful," he said stroking my stomach. Suddenly I felt this strange feeling in my stomach. 

I looked at Luke and he had wide eyes "I just felt one kick," he said with a wide grin on his face.

 "Is that normal considering I'm only three almost four months?" I questioned.
