Chapter 8: To Earn A Savior's Love

It's been a single day ever since our Honorary Knights along with the Acting Grand Master, Master Diluc, and the Anemo Archon himself, Venti not only saved Mondstadt, but also saved Dvalin from the Abyss Order's control. Because of this, things have been turning out to be a lot more cheerful around Mondstadt as lots of people were able to have calm and benevolent lives once again. Suffice to say, things had returned to normal for everyone.

We now see our Honorary Knights along with Paimon walking out from Mondstadt as they all noticed that it was a little harder to do so with a bunch of spiked barricades blocking the path to the gate. They look all around at the dozens of Knights setting up said blockades with raised eyebrows.

Jordanwolfboy9743: They... do know that Dvalin's good again, right? Didn't Jean let everyone in on that fact?

TheNintegaGuy: Well, honestly, who's dumb enough to try to use a bunch of human sized blockades like that to defend themselves against a massive dragon? No, this seems more like they're preparing for a regular monster attack.

Lumine: That's strange... Weren't the hilichurls spawning more often around here all because of the Abyss controlling Dvalin? In that case, they should be shrinking in numbers.

Shadowlight2784: Or maybe they're building the world's ugliest Clash of Clans...

Everyone shot Shadow either confused or unamused looks as that was the craziest assumption to make.

Shadowlight2784: What? There's a chance.

???: Hey! There you guys are!

They heard someone call to them and they turned to notice Amber jogging over to them.

Amber: The Honorary Knights who now stand triumphant over Stormterror!

She stated proudly as the others smiled back at her as seeing Amber was always meant with smiles to come on their faces.

TheNintegaGuy: Amber! Good to see ya!

Paimon: Hi there, Amber!

Lumine: Greetings to you, Amber!

Shadowlight2784: Wassup?

Jordan was the last to greet Mondstadt's Crimson Knight, but he was a little too busy staring with a goofy grin as hearts danced around and popped behind his head. Seeing this, Nintega smirks and nudges Shadow's side, whispering to him.

TheNintegaGuy: *whispers* Guess someone missed their waifu a lot more than we thought.

Shadow copies his devious grin with one of his own, chuckling silently before Nintega snapped his fingers in front of Jordan's face, shocking him back to focus.

Jordanwolfboy9743: O-Oh, h-hey partner! Missed us? *sheepishly chuckles*

Amber: *giggles* You bet I did! Still, you had my every confidence that you guys would make it back safely.

Paimon: Yep! We're back from playing tussling with Dvalin!

Amber: You guys just returned yesterday, right? Jean got back first, and she told us all about your heroic deeds.

Shadowlight2784: Oh really? What was her verdict?

Amber: All positive in fact. She said that for Nintega, she's never seen someone with such great leadership that it was like seeing herself inside of him. For Lumine, she said that her ability to keep everyone in line and show great skill in combat makes her wonder just how great of a Traveler she'll be if she travels to the other nations.
