Chapter 10: Let's Go, Spark Knight!

A new day in Mondstadt had arrived as we pan down from the sunny sky to show the giant tree in Windrise. At its base rested Jordan who was taking a nap with his arms behind his head. A few parting leaves let in some light and it shined on one of Jordan's eyes, stirring him from his slumber. He silently grumbles and sits up slightly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

Jordanwolfboy9743: (Dang, how long was I out for?)

He thought, wondering what time it was. He tries to sit himself up, but finds that he couldn't move with something pinning him to the dirt. He looked down at the source and found what it was, or rather, who it was. Amber was there cuddled up beside him, resting her head on his chest with her eyes closed and a peaceful smile. Her bunny ear ribbons ever so softly tickled his nose every few seconds. Slowly, Jordan gained a smile too and gently petted the fiery Outrider's long dark brown hair.

Jordanwolfboy9743: (*chuckles* Guess she saw me napping and decided to join me. Not that I'm complaining, of course.)

His petting eventually led to unintentionally waking Amber as her eyes fluttered open. She sits up and yawns while doing a stretch, groaning rather cutely as she does so. When she was done, she looked back at Jordan and smiled again.

Amber: *giggles* Hey, blue~. Hope you don't mind me joining your snoozing session. You looked so peaceful and I wanted in on it.

Jordanwolfboy9743: *chuckles* I don't mind at all. Any moment I get to spend with you and Lisa is a blessing from the Anemo archon himself.

Amber responds with a close eyed smile along with a giggle before leaning in for a kiss which Jordan doesn't deny in the slightest. She pulls away after a few seconds and looks up at the sun which was behind the leaves of the tree.

Amber: Hmm... wonder how long we were out for.

Jordanwolfboy9743: My guess would probably be an hour or two.

Amber nodded in agreement before standing up with a small hop, turning back to Jordan and offering him a hand.

Amber: Need some help there, handsome~?

She flirted, batting her eyes. This gets another chuckle from Jordan as he takes her hand and rises back to his feet.

Jordanwolfboy9743: We should probably get back to Mondstadt. The others might be wondering where we are.

Amber: Good point. *sigh* It's a shame. I would have liked to cuddle a little more.

Jordan smiles and wraps an arm around Amber's shoulders.

Jordanwolfboy9743: I know. I feel the same as you, but duty calls and all that, sadly.

Amber: Yeah, although even though all of us have our own duties to attend to in Monstadt, we all need a good time to relax once in a while... Unfortunately for our Acting Grand Master, she's too dedicated to her tasks to understand.

The mere mention of Jean made both Amber's eyes widen along with having a gasp leave her vocal chords.

Amber: Oh shoot! Jordan, I've gotta go! I promised Kaeya I'd help him with a small excursion today!

Jordanwolfboy9743: *chuckles* It's fine, Am. Like I said, duty calls.

Amber smiled again before giving her boyfriend a peck on the lips.

Amber: See you later!

She turned and began jogging back to Mondstadt, but she stops along the way and spun back around towards Jordan.
