When Sophie arrived at school, a sense of unease settled within her as she scanned the crowded hallways but couldn't find Fitz. She knew she had to be cautious, especially with her classmates' history of pranks, such as trying to make her fall.
As she walked toward her Biology lesson, Sophie's thoughts were consumed by the events of the morning—the strange jogger, the pathfinder-like object, and the unsettling feeling that she was being drawn into a world she had never imagined. She knew she needed to talk to Fitz about this, to understand the connection between that jogger and the Council's world, but Fitz was nowhere to be found.
Just as she was about to give up and head into class, Sophie took a turn down a dimly lit corridor. Suddenly, strong hands grabbed her from behind and pulled her back into the shadows. Her heart raced as she instinctively struggled against her unseen assailant.
As the initial shock faded, Sophie's wide eyes met Fitz's, and her tension melted into relief. She was about to question his sudden appearance when she remembered the other students in the hallway who were eyeing her with curiosity. She lowered her voice to a whisper and asked, "Where were you?"
Fitz, always the enigmatic charmer, flashed a mischievous smile. "Missed me?"
Sophie felt her cheeks warm and stammered, "No! I mean, yes, but that's not the point. There's something strange going on. This morning, a man showed up at my house, and he looked like he wanted to kidnap me-"
"Kidnap you?" Fitz interrupted, his teal eyes widening with concern.
Sophie nodded, her voice trembling slightly. "Yes, and he had something that looked a lot like the pathfinder you showed me earlier. If Mr. Forkle hadn't scared him away, I think he would have taken me."
Fitz's expression grew serious, and he took Sophie's hand in his. "Okay, we'll talk about this later. Right now, we have to go."
Sophie's heart pounded as she felt the reassuring grip of Fitz's hand. Together, they stepped into the shimmering light cast by the pathfinder. The world around them dissolved, leaving behind the mysteries of her world and plunging them into the unknown of the elvin realm, where secrets and adventures awaited, and where the answers to the questions that had begun to unravel her life lay in wait.
I'll may edit this a bit, but later.
