Castiel X Reader 8
Imagine Castiel being there for you, even though you don't want him to be.
You sat down in your room after coming back from hunting. You and the guys were taking on a demon and it was really evil to say the least. The demon got under your skin and really into your mind, you tried to not let it get to you, but it was no use.
You stared at the wall for a minute before you decided to get up to turn some music on to help clear your mind. You turned on your favorite song before returning to sit down on your bed. You sat there silently and let the tears fall down your face like it was raining. It had been too long since you have cried this much and it was nice to get it all out. Now you just hoped that no one would bug you at all because you just wanted to be alone for a while.
You then heard the flap of wings and saw Cas standing there, looking at you. "Hello {Y/N}," he said.
"Hi Cas," you said looking at him.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"I am fine, can you please leave me alone, I would just like to be alone."
"If you are not okay, I am not going to leave. I want to help you."
"Its great that you want to help me, it really is, but I just need to be alone. Please, just leave me be."
"Why do you want to be alone?"
"Because I just do okay? Everyone needs their space, please just leave."
"{Y/N}, I am not letting you be, do you remember the last time we left you alone?" He said. The past had flooded back to you and you started to cry. Last time you were left alone you had cut really bad, and Cas was the one to find you. You were laying on the cold white tile floor, slowly bleeding out. You never saw Cas with such a shocked and fearful expression before, to be honest, it scared you. You never wanted to see that facial expression on him. The guys were completely shocked and Dean started to blame himself. When he was sitting in the hospital room you could hear him talk to Sam and blame himself for it. No matter how many times you had tried to convince Dean differently, he still felt it was his fault.
"I do, now please, please, please, just leave." You begged and sobbed.
"I will not leave you, I don't want to lose you!" He said raising his voice.
"You know what, I don't care! Now get the hell out, I am fine goddamn it. I don't want to hurt you too, now leave!" You said getting up from the bed, fists in a ball. Just like that, Cas was gone and you just slumped to the floor in a pile of emotions. You never wanted to hurt him or be mean, you just wanted to be alone. You felt really bad that you had just acted like a total bitch to one of your friends. You really could not help but cry at this moment and this was going to eat you alive. Before you knew it you were out like a light, on your uncomfortable wood floor.
You felt something pick you up as you opened your eyes to see Cas standing there, placing you in bed. "I am sorry," you said looking at him with a pained look.
"It is okay, I should have respected your wish to be alone." He sighed as he got up. But you pulled his arm, silently telling him that you did not want him to leave.
"Please don't leave now, I am sorry I am being very indecisive." You said.
"It happens. I will stay now, since it seems like I am more wanted." He chuckled. You saw his face light up a little and it brightened your day instantly. You put all the sadness behind you and you just wanted to capture his smile forever. Since it was not something that you or anyone else saw at all. You hugged Cas, he was awkward at first , but then he figured out how to hug back.
"Thank you for being such a great friend to me," you smiled weakly.
"You're welcome, I will always be here for you, no matter how many times you will try to push me away."
"Well that is nice to hear coming from you."
"I mean every word of it {Y/N}." He said.
"I know you do," you looked at him. It was like in that moment, you could see every memory you two shared in his eyes. You saw all the good times and all the bad times, through thick and thin, always there holding out his hand. He was always waiting to pick you up, he was like your real guardian angel.
You could not really have asked for a better friend and you were surprised that he was still here. Most people who say they will stay always leave you, so you are left with scars and a lot of held in pain. Cas was there to listen to you and help you through all of it, but that was not saying that Sam and Dean did not. Sam and Dean were there for you, but you did not really like opening up to them, you don't know why, but you just didn't. You were there for them when they needed though, which always made it feel like you had a purpose in this life.
"You always have a purpose," Cas interjected.
"Wait, are you reading my thoughts?" You asked.
"Yes, wait, is that bad?" He asked curiously.
"Yes it is," you chuckled at his childishness. He always managed to make you smile at his innocence. It was the mild purity of it that would make anyone smile.
