Isabella stormed through the streets of Mystic Falls, her determination to find Katherine unwavering. She had a single-minded purpose: to make Katherine pay for what she had done to Caroline. As she walked, she held a broken wooden stake in her hand, tossing it in the air and catching it effortlessly.

Her path led her to the local bar, a place where Katherine had often been known to frequent. Isabella had expected to find her there, but instead, she encountered Damon Salvatore, who was nursing a glass of bourbon at the bar.

Damon raised an eyebrow as he noticed Isabella's intense expression. "Well, well, what's got you in such a foul mood?"

Isabella didn't waste any time on pleasantries. She held up the stake for Damon to see. "I'm looking for Katherine. I plan on shoving this stake through her throat and pushing her back into the tomb."

Damon's lips curled into a smirk. "Now that sounds like a party I'd love to attend."

Isabella chuckled at his enthusiasm. "Great. Let's go find our favorite doppelgänger."

The two vampires left the bar and began asking around town, trying to gather information on Katherine's whereabouts. It didn't take them long to discover a lead that pointed them to a nondescript apartment building.

As they approached the building, Isabella couldn't help but tease Damon. "You know, for someone who's been on the run for centuries, Katherine is surprisingly bad at hiding. I mean, how has she managed to evade capture for so long?"

Damon raised an eyebrow, clearly missing Isabella's point. "I think you're underestimating her. Katherine always has a few tricks up her sleeve."

Isabella sighed in exasperation, deciding not to press the issue further. They were wasting time, and she was eager to confront Katherine.

When they arrived at the apartment, Isabella tried to enter, but she was immediately blocked by an invisible barrier. Frustration welled up inside her as she cursed under her breath. "Congratulations, Katherine. You really outdid yourself this time."

Katherine, who was now standing in the doorway, shot Isabella a sarcastic smile. "I do try my best."

Isabella wasn't in the mood for banter. She sped away and returned moments later with a terrified human, snapping the person's neck in front of Katherine's eyes. The human's lifeless body crumpled to the floor, and Isabella stepped dramatically into the apartment, followed closely by Damon.

Katherine's expression turned from arrogance to fear as she realized the dire situation she was in. "What are you two doing here? How did you find me?"

Isabella couldn't resist a sardonic smile. "Oh, Katherine, you're a terrible hider. I just had to ask around a bit."

Katherine's eyes darted around the room as she desperately looked for an escape route. However, before she could make a move, Isabella pushed her back against the wall with supernatural strength.

Isabella leaned in, her eyes locked onto Katherine's. "Hello, Katherine. Goodbye, Katherine." With that, she snapped Katherine's neck, rendering her unconscious.

Katherine awoke in the dimly lit tomb, her head pounding. Panic surged through her as she tried to move, but she found herself trapped. She attempted to run toward the exit, but an invisible barrier blocked her way.

"No!" Katherine cried out in frustration. "Why did you do this, Isabella?"

Isabella's voice echoed through the tomb "I warned you not to hurt Caroline, Katherine."

Katherine's tone turned desperate as she pleaded with Isabella. "Please, Isabella, you have to get me out of here."

Isabella paused, a smirk playing on her lips. "At least you'll be safe in here, Katherine."

She took a step back, leaving Katherine bewildered and terrified in the confined space of the tomb. Isabella looked over at Damon, who had been observing silently.

Damon grinned wickedly. "Well, Katherine, enjoy your time in there"

Before closing the tomb's entrance, Katherine's final words sent shivers down Isabella's spine. "You know that they will come for the doppelgänger, sooner or later."

With that, the tomb was sealed shut, leaving Katherine alone in the darkness and silence, while Isabella and Damon made their exit.

Isabella knew that the day would soon come, however she hoped to get as far away from this town by then.
