The party had taken its toll on Caroline. She was intoxicated and struggling to stay awake. Desperate to get her friend home safely, Isabella reached for her phone to call someone who could help. But when she noticed that both Elena and Bonnie were nowhere to be found, her frustration grew.

"Typical," Isabella muttered under her breath, disappointed by her friends' absence. She decided she would have to take care of things herself.

With some effort, she managed to get Caroline on her feet, half-dragging her as she headed towards the exit. The crowd of people from her history class was leaving as well, and Isabella intended to ask them for directions to Caroline's house.

However, in her haste, Isabella bumped into someone. "Oops, sorry about that," Isabella mumbled as she steadied herself. When she looked up, she realized it was Mason Lockwood.

Isabella couldn't help herself and offered a flirtatious comment, her mischievous grin playing on her lips. "Well, if it isn't Mason Lockwood. What's a handsome man like you doing here?"

Mason chuckled at her comment. "Just trying to make sure everyone gets home safely. Is everything alright?"

Isabella sighed and explained her predicament. "I'm trying to get Blondie here," she nodded toward the half-asleep Caroline, "home, but I have no idea where she lives."

Mason offered a friendly smile. "I can help with that. I know where Caroline lives."

Isabella raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Oh, do you now?" She couldn't help but wonder if there was more to Mason and Caroline's relationship than met the eye.

Mason quickly clarified, "No, no, it's not like that. We're just friends."

Isabella flashed a flirtatious smile and teased, "Are you sure about that?"

Mason chuckled and assured her, "I promise, we're just friends."

"Good then I could have you all by my self" Isabella replied with a flirtatious tone.

As Mason guided Isabella to Caroline's house, they engaged in light conversation, with Isabella continuing to playfully throw in flirtatious comments. Mason found her intriguing and couldn't help but enjoy the banter.

Isabella bowed playfully. "I'm honored to be found interesting."

Mason chuckled. "You should be."

As they walked, Mason couldn't help but wonder how Isabella had managed to beat him in the hand wrestling match. "So, how did you manage to beat me?"

Isabella laughed, brushing off his competitive spirit. "Did I break your ego?"

Mason grinned. "Maybe just a little."

They arrived at Caroline's house, and Mason pointed it out. "This is Caroline's place."

Isabella thanked him with a smile. "Thanks, Mason. You still owe me that drink."

Mason laughed, fully aware of their playful agreement. "I know, I know. I'll make sure to pay up."

Before leaving, Mason realized he didn't even know Isabella's name. "By the way, I didn't catch your name."

Isabella extended her hand and introduced herself with a smirk. "Isabella."

Mason nodded. "Nice to meet you, Isabella."

With that, Mason departed, leaving Isabella in front of Caroline's house. She rang the doorbell, but there was no answer. Isabella cursed under her breath, realizing she couldn't enter the house due to her vampirism.

She decided to head to the Salvatore Boarding House instead. Upon her arrival, she found Stefan and Damon in the middle of a conversation that came to a halt as soon as they noticed her.

"Did I interrupt something?" Isabella asked with a smirk.

Damon responded, explaining their intention to kill Mason. He then questioned why Isabella, whom he had affectionately nicknamed Bells, was carrying Caroline.

Isabella sighed and gave them an honest answer. "I can't enter Caroline's house because no one's there, so she's staying here for the night."

Damon, always one to inject humor into any situation, couldn't resist making a suggestive comment. "Well, then, I guess you two will have to keep things quiet if you're going to engage in any... activities."

Isabella rolled her eyes at his remark and carried Caroline upstairs to tuck her into a room. After ensuring Caroline was comfortable, she returned downstairs to face the Salvatore brothers.

Damon continued with his flirtatious banter. "You know, Bells, you and I could find something to do to pass the time."

Isabella sighed throwing a fliirtatious comment back. "Oh who wouldn't want to sweetheart."

Stefan intervened, annoyed "Let's not forget why we're here. Mason Lockwood."

Isabella agreed, shifting the focus back to their original conversation. "Right. Killing Mason would be a bad idea."

Damon raised an eyebrow, curious about her reasoning. "And why's that?"

Isabella leaned against the wall, crossing her arms. "Because one it'll draw more attention to our kind. And second and most importantly we dont get much good looking guys these days. Would be such a waste."

Stefan chuckled. "She's right, Damon. We need to be more discreet."

Damon grumbled in reluctant acceptance. "Fine, you find another way to deal with him."

With that settled, the three vampires began discussing alternate plans to handle Mason Lockwood while the night outside embraced the town of Mystic Falls in its comforting
