Prolouge

Years ago when the great Emperor was ruling the land, the Journey to the West was a major expedition. The Monkey King (Wukong) was asked to accompany this journey yet another monkey was looking for the same thing.

"Okay so let me get this straight... you want me to guard you to the west for this thing you have to do?" Wukong asked, forgetting what the Emperor had said about what he needed to do.
"Yes, Sun Wukong. I would like you to join us but we could always choos-" the Emperor said before being cut off.
"I never said I wasn't going but you need the protection of the Great Monkey King. I'll be there whenever we leave." Wukong said, scratching the back of his head. The Emperor nodded and walked away. Wukong looked around after the Emperor had left his presence.
"A journey to the west... Cool!" He started to fix his hat and clothes as he got ready for his big day ahead of him.

Deep in the shadows of the forest, an undefined figure listened to the whole conversation.
"A trip to the west? Oh, we will see about that Sun Wukong," he said and disappeared into the shadows slowly, chuckling in a low voice as he went back into his home.
