Wukong showed up at the Emperor's palace filled with excitement and he lay on his cloud. The Emperor walked outside calmly as two other people followed him. Wukong watched the pig and the blue man walk out from the palace doors.
"So... why did you need me to guard you when you have big blue muscles and Porky?" Sun asked. The other two looked at him with snarling looks. Before Sun Wukong knew it, his hat was pinned against the palace doors by a rusted kitchen knife.
"Call me Porky again and see what happens, Monkey." Sun Wukong gulped and nodded as the Emperor kept walking like nothing happened. The two men followed the Emperor along the path. Sun took a deep breath and pulled out the knife that held his hat. He put it back on and followed the rest of them, holding his stick in his hand.Hours had passed since a word had been said amongst anyone. Wukong sighed and pulled his cloud up the the blue guy.
"So... what's your name?" Wukong asked, flipping his stick in between his fingers.
"I am Sha Wujing. The bone-crushing demon who guides the rivers" He said. Sun Wukong stared for a long time until he gathered up the words to speak.
"Well I'm the Monkey King, Sun Wukong so it's very nice to meet you Mr... Sha Wujing?" He said, nervously. Sun Wukong slowly drifted away with his cloud until he glanced up at all the trees, peaches hanging happily. Sun Wukong's mouth watered and he looked at the three of them.
"They should be fine for five minutes." He said, waving them off as he floated up and disappeared into the peach trees. Under the shade, a foot stepped out of a portal, the unknown figure. He changed quickly, shape-shifting into the Monkey King.
"This should do," He said as we walked out of the shade and followed the group. The fake Sun Wukong walked up next to the Emperor and looked at him.
"So Emperor, can you guess what kind of monkey I am?" He asked. The Emperor looked at him strangely and took a deep breath.
"I believe you are a macaque born from a great rock," The Emperor said. "Now please get to the back where you were, Sun Wukong." He said and walked past the fake Sun Wukong, the others hurrying behind the Emperor. The other monkey smiled as his name left his mouth. Macaque. Macaque turned to see the real Sun Wukong on his way back with a cloud full of peaches.
"Shit, I need to go," Macaque said and ran back into the shadows, disappearing into his alternate dimension. Sun Wukong had pulled up in front of the Emperor and held out a peach to him.
"They're really good!" Sun said with a mouth full. The Emperor shook his head.
"I don't eat anything unless it is served properly and not picked from the wild forest. Now get to the back again, this is your last warning, Monkey." Again the Emperor walked by and the others followed. Sun Wukong looked confused as to what he meant again but continued to indulge in his peaches.Nighttime came around and the journey had to be put on hold as the Emperor slept soundly. Wukong got off of his cloud and walked into the woods, exploring. Macaque appeared from the shadows yet again and took Sun Wukong's place as he left the camp. Yet, Wukong came back quickly after finding some berries in the forest only to stare at his identical in the back. Sun dropped the berries he had gathered and ran up to the imposter, pulling him back by his tail into the deep woods. Sun stared at his reflection, waving his hand around as did the reflection. He played with his reflection for a minute until his mirror image attempted to punch him.
"I knew it," Wukong said as he wrestled his twin, throwing punches between them until a cloud formed and took to the sky. Golden streaks lit up the sky until a great voice spoke into the air.
"Macaque, you have done badly and now you must be punished," Buddha said from the Heavens and held out his giant hands, capturing the imposter. His form changed in the hands of Buddha and he was back to normal. Black fur and a scared face with light purple eyes. Wukong outraged in fury grabbed his stick and headed for Macaque, striking him to death in the hands of Buddha. Buddha's hands disappeared with the deceased, leaving Sun Wukong to look up at the sky, exhausted. He laid back into his cloud and floated back down to the camp, cooling his nerves as he did. The others looked at him, wide-eyed.
"What?" Wukong asked but he knew exactly what he did.
