"Lo siento pa!"(I'm sorry, Dad!) Young Eden cried out as their dad grabbed their hair forcefully and shook them.
"shut the fuck up, you useless child!" Eden's dad Fabian yelled out as he drunkly kicked his face.
Eden not knowing what to do or what his father was saying assumed he was insulting him.
"Lamento haber roto tus botellas. ¡fue un accidente! ¡Déjame ir por favor! ¿mamá?" (I'm sorry I broke your bottles. It was an accident! Let me go, please! Mom?") Eden yelled out as their mom just watched as she was doing lines of Coke.
"let that child go. It's not worth getting in jail for. It will die at this rate. And we need it alive for my father's money." Eden's mom named Victoria said as she began to drink and bottle of vodka.
"This child is useless! No matter how hard I hit this kid he never learns!" Eden's dad Fabian yelled out.
Eden lay on the ground now with a black eye and bruises along their body. Trying to figure out what their parents are saying. If they need another beer.
-the next day-
Eden was doing most of the chores including the cooking and cleaning. While his mom and dad went out.
Their aunt often babysat them. Making sure they don't get abused but their aunt was on vacation with her friends and wasn't able to protect Eden.
After they were finished washing the dishes. They went for a break and sat on the ground with crayons. And drew an apology letter to their dad for breaking the bottles.
"Querido papá, lamento haber roto tus botellas. ¡Limpié el desorden para animarte! te amo. PS: Perdón por gritarte y desobedecerte Ayer. No quiero que te metas en problemas." (Dear Dad, I'm sorry for breaking your bottles. I cleaned the mess to cheer you up! I love you. P.S. Sorry for screaming and disobeying you yesterday. I don't want you to get into trouble.) they said in the letter and draw a smiley face with a heart.

Proud of what they did they made themself a snack of a tomato with salt. Before getting back to chores.
Once their dad got home and saw the letter Eden's dad Fabian ripped it to shreds and threw it in the trash in front of Eden.
-2 months later-
"you sure? My damn sister will call the cops for sure." Victoria said as she held a cigarette.
"It's fine. The demon said it would get this child off our chests for good if we continued. If you ask me it's the best option we have. This kid won't wake up anyway." Fabian said as he signed the contract for Eden.
Once Eden woke up they were alone except for a mask and striped onesie and a clown costume. And a message from their parents.
