Chapter 2: The Strongest

After a long day of hanging out with Naruto and Iruka, (Y/n) found himself face down in his old bed. After all these years, it was too small. His legs stuck out from it and it had the faint smell of cheese and mold. He looked over at the clock on his dresser...

"Six in the morning... already..." (Y/n) groaned and sat up in his bed.

There was a sudden knock at the door that caught his attention. He sleepily walked over and opened the door. No one was there. However, there was a letter on the ground, (Y/n) picked it up and read it.

"Meet me at the training ground in an hour."

It had the initials K.H. on the back. So much for being discrete. (Y/n) decided not to waste much more time. He got his sword, threw on his clothes, and headed towards the training field with time to spare.  He crossed his legs and rested his eyes. Hearing the birds chirp and the leaves sway in the wind was relaxing. 

"That's not what I'm saying, Sakura!" Naruto's voice shouted from the distance. "I'm just saying I don't notice a difference from those years ago."

Sakura huffed and turned not to look at Naruto. "That's one way to treat a woman."

"You're not a woman though..."

Naruto landed next to (Y/n) with a bruise on his face. "You hit like a man..." he mumbled to himself.

"I was wondering when you two would show up." (Y/n) said, opening his eyes and standing up. "You've kept me and Kakashi-sense waiting."

Kakashi hopped down from the tree he was in,
"How'd you know I was up there? You can't sense chakra."

"Thanks, captain obvious. The only reason I knew you were up there was because you laughed to yourself while reading your new book."

"Oh... Anyways, let's get started." Kakashi reached into his ninja pouch and pulled out two bells. "You three remember how this works. You three have got until noon to get these bells from me. Ready..."

Naruto cracked his knuckles.

Sakura stretched her arms

(Y/n) unsheathed his sword.

"Begin!"

Instantly, Naruto ran at Kakashi and engaged in a taijutsu battle. Naruto threw a punch at Kakashi's stomach, he grabbed Naruto's fist and threw him back.
"That wasn't bad, Naruto. I'm not going to be holding back against you guys anymore." as he said this, he reached for his headband and pulled it up. Revealing his deep red three tomoe sharingan.

"I guess we won't hold back either, sensei!" Naruto said smiling.

This time, (Y/n) rushed quickly. If it wasn't for his Sharingan, Kakashi was confident he wouldn't be able to keep up. (Y/n) quickly sliced at him horizontally. Kakashi dashed back and pulled out a kunai, but (Y/n) was faster than he anticipated. The two clashed blades and held them there.

"Since when were you this fast?" Kakashi asked, smiling under his mask.

"You should've seen what I went through, sensei. I'd say I'm as fast as Might Guy now."

Kakashi laughed out loud, "Never as fast as him."

(Y/n) kicked Kakashi back and sliced his arm with his sword. Kakashi winced in pain but continued smiling.  But his joy didn't last long. He quickly jumped back and just evaded a punch from Sakura who popped out of the ground.
