09: Flirting with fire

"Good morning Diluc, looking handsome as ever I see,"

He blushed as you helped him out of bed for your morning routine.

"I could say the same to you, (y/n),"
He took the risk of flirting back at you, and was rewarded but the slight blush on your face.

It'd been about a month since you'd started staying in his mansion, and he felt like it was about time for him to finally tell you how he felt. Seeing as you were open to having more than one boyfriend, he felt like his chances of getting with you were pretty good.

"If you don't mind, I'd like you to join me for dinner outside today,"

"Sure! I'll let Venti know,"
You said while brushing his hair.

He cleared his throat,
"Without the bard..."

You paused, and Diluc could feel his nerves begin to get at him. How could he remain so calm facing the creatures of the abyss, but feel so nervous when it came to you?

"I'd love to join you for dinner, Diluc,"

He let out a sigh of relief,
"Excellent. Don't worry about the bard, I'll have a meal prepared for him as well,"

You smiled at him, brushing his hair a few more times before tying it up with an elastic.

"It's a bit higher than usual..."
He commented, turning his head in the mirror.

"I thought I'd try something new today. What do you think?"
In all honesty you always liked how he looked with a high ponytail, and were making up for the fact that you'd never bought his high ponytail outfit in your last life.

"I think you've done a great job, though that's not very uncommon,"
He replied, smiling warmly at you from the mirror.

"How kind of you to say, Master Diluc,"

Oh the shiver his spine felt when you called him that was unimaginable. Even if it was something he was called by regularly, something about the way you said it just made him feel some type of way.

It took a while, but you'd finally found the perfect outfit to wear to your little dinner date with Diluc.

"Wish me luck Venti!"

"GOOB BLUCK!"
He cheered with a mouthful of food.

You walked outside the dawn winery and found your pyro man waiting for you at the door.

He extended a hand,
"You look lovely this evening. Shall we go?"

Internally you were screaming with excitement, but you managed to play it cool.

You placed your hand in his,
"Let's,"

He took you behind the manor, leading you to a candle lit table with absolutely mouthwatering food.

You took the initiative and pulled his chair out,
"Please, allow me,"

He sat down and watched you take a seat opposite of him.

The table wasn't too big so the two of you wouldn't be so far apart.
