Chapter 04: Star Quality Evaluation

Naomi POV:

Today was the third day of the LA Boot Camp and today we were showing other talents of ours. I had trouble on deciding what I wanted to do, it's not like I have a lot of talents but I was struggling on what I wanted to showcase that would be interesting. I was honestly just debating if I should've just did math problems. I settled on showcasing the multiple languages I know and remixing songs since those are the 2 things other than singing and dancing that I'm good at. Practicing for this evaluation was actually easier than the first 2 evaluations because you were kind of just showcasing yourself. When the episode started JYP said he kind of knew what everyone was doing today by our outfits so I'm excited to see his reaction to my performance.

KG was called up first today. She was going to Mashup her song Porcelain Queen and Sneakers by ITZY while playing the piano and singing some of the Sneakers lyrics in Korean. In the middle of Sneakers she started leaving the piano, which struck my curiosity and she ended up doing tricks with a basketball. JYP then complimented her basketball skills and her song writing skills. KG then got her third stone, the 'Star Quality Stone'

Kendall was called up next and she was showcasing some of her art. As Kendall started talking about her art, I couldn't help but notice that her word choice and tone all went really well with each other and her art. You could say that we were very enthralled by her. Her art was also amazing, she had so many different art styles that she was good at. While she was talking she was also making a dog pendant necklace for JYP. JYP was very captivated by Kendall and he gave her a stone.

Next was Camila, she was performing a self-written rap in 3 different languages.
"Okay wait let me see where we are" JYP said.
"So how many people speak Spanish here?", 5 of us raised our hands (although KG & I only knew a bit).
"We are loaded right now", JYP said. Camila was definitely a contestant that could pull off different concepts and styles along with different roles in the group. Camila then started her performance. Camila was also great at rapping in 3 different languages. JYP was impressed with her flow and he gave Camila a stone.

Yuna was next to showcase her 'Star Quality' and she was going to showcase some of her clothing designs. She first came out with a recreation of one of NMIXX's Sullyoon's O.O outfits, a pink fluffy dress. The second outfit she came out with was a recreation of TWICE's Nayeon's Outfit from The Feels. Yuna's third outfit was her recreation of Sohee's Yellow dress from the So Hot music video. Yuna was great at looking confident and showing herself when she was showcasing her recreation of K-Pop outfits. JYP gave Yuna her first stone to fill the pendant in.

Cristina was next and she was doing a Periodic Table Rap with the instrumental of Maniac by Stray Kids in the background. Cristina was so good at not only rapping but also making the audience feel captivated by her charisma which JYP noticed this, saying that she knew how to make herself look attractive and Cristina then got a stone.

Mischa was next to showcase her Star Quality and she was doing Contemporary Dance. Mischa's dancing was so elegant and her flow was like a waterfall. JYP complimented how her body line's were almost perfect when she was dancing. JYP gave her a stone for that.

JYP called Savanna next. Savanna was going to play the flute. Although after playing a bit of the flute she started taking off her jacket and put the flute to the side and she started showing her gymnastics. Savanna was crazy flexible and had great balance. Right after showing off her gymnastic skills she immediately went back to playing the flute, which just proved she had crazy stamina since she never had a break in between. JYP complimented Savanna and then gave her the stone.

Lexi went next and she was showing her ballet. She did ballet to Pas Seul (Giselle: Act 1) by Adolphe Adam and when the music suddenly stopped she did ballet to Pop by Nayeon. Her moves were so graceful yet elegant at the same time, it was insane that she's the same person who God's Menu by Stray Kids during the dance evaluation. JYP then gave Lexi a stone.

After Lexi performed, I was called up next. I was wearing a oversized baggy shirt and baggy jeans, so I'm curious to see what JYP would think I'm doing.
"Okay so Naomi...are you rapping for us today?"
"Well sort of?"
"Oh..Alright, so what are you showcasing for us today?"
"Well I made a mashup of Voltage by ITZY and Circus by STRAY KIDS and I'll be singing and rapping to the mashup in multiple languages"
"Oh Really? What languages will you be singing and rapping in?"
"I'll be singing and rapping in English, Spanish, Japanese and Korean"
"Wow Okay. Feel free to start whenever you're ready"
