Chapter 15: The Debut Group

Naomi POV

"This is the final individual ranking." MC Ahn said.
"Finishing first place and also the first confirmed member of our new girl group
Congratulations Lexus."
She seemed so shocked, it was well deserved. Although she ranked lower during all the missions and evaluations compared to her final ranking, she proved herself and that she could improve a lot during this last evaluation especially.

"Second place, the second confirmed member of the new girl group, Naomi!"
"W-what? 진짜?!", I said as Korean started to take over my brain while I was starting to tear up due to the shock and happiness. There's no way I just did that. How in the world??
"Naomi has shown a great amount of improvement in such a little about of time. She's ranked high for all the missions thanks to all the talent she has. Each group she's been in, she's the mood maker. She continuously shows support to the contestants no matter what the situation is." MC Ahn said as I walked up to J.Y. Park to collect my last 2 stones. As I got back down I was asked how I felt about being put into the debut group.

"나는...Sorry-" Everyone laughed a bit at how the Korean just slipped out unintentionally. "I don't really know what to say or how to react, I'm still trying to comprehend how in the world I have placed second..I just wanna thank everyone for supporting me and helping me to become the person I am today. I really wanna thank the staff first for teaching me techniques and helping me polish and feel more confident in my performances. I'd also like to thank all the girls here for always being so cheerful and helpful, especially when times are tough. Let's all debut together!"

"Third place, also a confirmed member of the girl group, congratulations KG!"
KG looked such Barbie-like..it was insane. She definitely wasn't one of the members you could just call "all visual, no talent". She had so much talent and improved so much..

"Fourth place, you know who it is, Camila!" 
Camila, the all-rounder, the vocal queen, placed 4th?? I- What. She probably should've been in my rank!

"We now have 4 confirmed members but we don't know yet how many more slots are left." MC Ahn said, causing suspense to arise.

"Finishing 5th, another confirmed member of our new group is...Congratulations, Savanna."
The dance trio all are debuting! Cristina could've been added in here too..maybe she'll join us? Savanna was just good in everything, she was another all-rounder like member that we now have. 

"Okay, do we have more slots left?" MC Ahn asked while looking at JYP.
"Yes, Finishing sixth and also another confirmed member of our debut group, Congratulations Kaylee." 
That's our maknae! Kaylee looks so cute going up to JYP getting the stone, I will baby this maknae forever and ever. She's so sweet and bubbly too!

"There are still 3 participants who's names have yet to be called, how many more slots do we have left?" MC Ahn asked, again creating suspense.
"Unfortunately, we have one last spot..left who will be the final member of the group."
No. He was kidding, right? This is seriously shitty. JYP continued to talk about how they had decided on this last member. 

"Finishing seventh, congratulations it's Kendall." 
She started to break down and as soon as she came in line with all the debuting members, Kaylee went to hug and comfort her. 

JYP started to talk to comfort Gina and Cristina and reassuring them that they did well. We all had to say our goodbyes to Gina and Cristina. I feel like I'm about to burst into tears and form a river! I can't do this no more.
"Gina! Keep working hard for us maknaes okay? One day maybe we will all be debuted and we can be idols together!" I said as I hugged one of my fellow maknae-line members goodbye. 
I ran up to Cristina and practically latched onto her as I hugged her. "Cristina, keep dancing and showing off your dance talents, okay? You're a great dancer, I know someday you'll make it big! Keep chasing your dreams okay?" at this point I was sobbing. I didn't want this to be how it ended but it still ended like this..

"Hey Guys!"
"Annyeong haseyo!" we all said together.

"So today, I'm gonna tell you guys something very important for maybe the next 20 years..? It's the name of your group."

As soon as JYP mentioned the group name and Korean, Kaylee and I exchanged glances of us dying inside. This was going to be a rollercoaster of emotions for sure..

VCHA...Omg that's my group name for however long the contract lasts again- I am going to cry. It sounds like a Pokemon name..I didn't know we were Pokemon lmao..

JYP asked what we thought about the name, KG said she liked the meaning and how it made it more special, Lexi said it was something you wouldn't expect, Kaylee said it was unique which was very true.
"I like it, it's really unexpecting but very appealing to look at." I skipped out on the Pokemon part not wanting to offend anyone..

"Not to brag but it was my idea. It all came from up here" JYP said.

I- I'm done guys. Time to edit and revise the survival show now..then we can go to VCHA content.. There's only 880 words here but it felt like thousands when I was writing T-T Anyways, when I run out of VCHA content to upload I'll start uploading another book so that there's still work getting out. I shall unleash the chapters from the basement lmao. I think I'll kind of just flip-flop between books since the storyline basically is very much relying on the VCHA and A2K content.
